I went there for lunch with my grandson and the food was amazing. Huge portions at a reasonable price. The girl that served us was very sweet and helpful. I was looking for something not listed on the menu but she made it up for me anyway. I was so impressed that I returned with my family for Sunday dinner. The second time was as though I’d walked into a different place. I tried to order the same thing I’d had the last time and was informed they didn’t have it. When I told her i’d just had it the other day she told me I must be wrong and had to have had something different. I know what I ate 😠. The woman that served us this time obviously didn’t enjoy her job and it showed. She was rude and argumentative. My husband ordered a shrimp entree. She informed him shrimp was an extra charge. She got my husbands order wrong bringing chicken instead of shrimp. When we let b her know, Instead of just apologizing and fixing it, she said she heard chicken. Bs because she informed us it would be an extra charge. When I son asked for another drink she told us it would be free refills if their machine was working. Instead she brought us soda in cans and charged us for another drink. So apparently customers pay extra if their machines are broke down. All in all this time we were not at all satisfied. I don’t know if this was just an off day or the first time was unusually good. We’ll hold our final recommendation, try it one more time, and decide then. It will either be or go to place for great Chinese food or one of those places we’ll never eat at again. The jury is still out...
Read moreGrowing up Silver Dragon was always our "Family Dinner Restaurant". We went often and I continued to do so over the years. It had been a couple years since I went last as it's a pinch over an hour from my house to Silver Dragon, yes I drive to vancouver from The Gorge just for dinner. I checked Google today for hours and confirmed dine in before driving in. The posted hours were correct. I also looked and seen a couple negative reviews. I was slightly hesitant as it has been a while but decided to try anyway.
I was not let down! I ordered the usual appetizers of BBQ pork and crab puffs. The BBQ pork was a good sized plate, and the meat was moist. (sorry for those who hate the word, but it really does describe it the best.) The crab puffs were also hot and filled with the filling, as some places skimp. My usual szechuan chicken meal was delicious. It was admittedly a smaller portion then when I was a customer regularly years ago but tasted amazing. My Girlfriend had the #6, and her mother had the special. Both had no complaints and were served on the large plates, large portions. I can only speak for these meals and they were great! The server was very friendly. I'm not really for the mask mandate, but for those who are, the employees had them on at all times. I was pleased the same food, flavor and service has went unchanged for decades from when I started coming here as a child in the early 90's. Thank you...
Read moreThis restaurant had good reviews, so I decided to give it a shot. I ordered for dinner around 7pm, late, I know, but they were still open. By 7:30, my order was marked ready and I was at the store to pick it up- or so I thought. I waited inside the store for 30 minutes because the food "wasn't done yet" and after that I decided to sit in my car for another 20 minutes, assuming it would be ready then. After REENTERING the store, I was asked my order number, and then shunned aside for another customer. I waited another 25 minutes IN STORE, and then finally they brought my food out. After only a 10 minute drive home, I opened up the several items I had ordered and most of them were refrigerator COLD. Not "been sitting out and overly cooled" cold, but leftovers from the night before cold. On top of that. I ordered crab puffs which were shoved into a box with my fried shrimp, and the quote "egg rolls" i ordered were actually one GIANT egg roll larger than a softball and dripping with fryer grease. I won't say the food was awful, but most of it was mushy and it seems as though they prepare everything and freeze it for the future. I will not be returning here, I am very disappointed.
UPDATE: Eating thr leftovers (because we had nothing else) i found a piece of IRON WOOL IN MY FOOD. THE SCRUBBING PAD IRON WOOL METAL. IT CUT MY GUMS. DO NOT...
