Fox's Pizza Den — Restaurant in Vandergrift

Seems like Vandergrift is a tough crowd when it comes to pizza. I'd suggest walking in for an in-house pie.

Lots of bad reviews on here, so I thought I'd share my experience. Someone was complaining about being on hold for four whole minutes at a call-in, delivery pizza joint? Give me a break. Maybe someone else was placing an order... anyway.

Walked down here from work for a mid-day slice. They don't keep hot slices, which is a-ok. I ordered a bambino, which is a 2-cut pizza for one person. I order the same pie wherever I go: white pizza with black olives and anchovies. On the side I got chicken tenders.

The pizza was legit! The crust was nice and thin with a doughy edge, crispy outside and chewy inside. Perfect. Cheese was caramelized to perfection, and they used good quality anchovy filets.

The chicken was okay. I don't think it was actually fried. It didn't have that chrunch I look for. Probably won't get these again.

They also offer Stubborn Sodas. Never heard of them before and decided to give the black cherry a try. It was really good!

I was pleasantly surprised by this Fox's. Good, fast service and an excellent personal pizza with a side and a drink for less than $11 + tip. I got my food in a little more than 10 minutes. Any faster and I'd be concerned. Good pizza takes time... it's not McDonald's. It's...

Hate to do this but we normally order sometimes up to once a week with a order that is about $50 that's with a $10 tip. They gave us the wrong wings after I told the girl 3 times cause she asked me to repeat myself. I mean I did say it fast the 1st time but geez. Then the cookie desert which was a 1st time try was so burnt you could literally smell it through the box. I was a cook for yrs & I wouldn't even give that cookie to a Possum let alone a person. I'd be ashamed & embarrassed l. I wish I could attach a photo. I've never been so more disappointed in a place besides the fact a few yrs ago we took a break & stopped ordering cause the hoagie we got to split gave us food poisoning. Me my fiance & poor kid. Now this very Disappointing & they don't give 2 sh!ts which makes it even worse. I tried to call & no one answered they have caller id. I reported the hoagie they didn't care. Accidentally ordered from Vandergrift location. Went to the other location I thought I ordered from. Paid for "my order" took my pizza and set up for my son's birthday party. Get a call while at the party stating I didn't pick up the pizzas. Advised I picked up the pizza and paid already, I am at my son's party. The person on the phone asked me to hold. While on hold I was hung up on. Moving on thinking this was settled. I was contacted by the Police department that I either paid for my order or I would be charged with theft. I tried to explain what I realized the mishap was the officer said I had to pay or he will file charges. Attempted to negotiate to own the mistake and pay cost of products used. The owner would not negotiate with me. It is sad that the owner was not willing to negotiate even though they called the other Fox's and found out I paid for and was given another person's order that was the same as mine.
