There is no imperative for me to give you business on your terms where I perceive a risk-cost to my safety that you could easily address at low/no cost or inconvenience. There are plenty of local and national vendors with a mask requirement on entry. No mask requirement no business from me. Manage your business any way you want to as is your right.. You may or may not need my money, but to me your company and product are totally discretionary, I don't need you.
As a matter of personal responsibility, and civic responsibility to others, as a requisite to living in a free society, I will set a high-leadership standard for my own conduct.
Its really your choice as to whether or not you get my business. It's a matter of taking personal responsibility.
As to suggestions;
I offered you two low impact steps you could take to improve safety at your facility as to retain my business. 1) remove a single table near the checkout to facilitate distancing on line 2) require masks for walk in customers. (About 80% are doing this anyway) You took neither suggestion-recommendation.
Don't confabulate or project your perceptions of the issue and concern. Do' not exculpate personal and civic responsibility by getting a "hall pass" from others as an escape clause. I am diligent not fearful, No mask requirement no business from me period. That is my right.

Black Gold roasts and sells the best coffee I have ever had. The staff are wearing masks and most of the customers are wearing masks. Unfortunately 1) the business does not have a mask requirement 2) some of the tables are too close to the checkout area as to provide safe distancing. More has to be done by this business to safeguard customers
PS. Let politics drive health policies to your peril, this virus has hobbled friends and family for a month of severe sickness. Two neighbors have been suffering for two weeks. Now the President has the disease having ignored critical thinkers such as Peter Navvaro and other highly qualified people in the administration. If everyone was personally and civically responsible early on the incidence of transmission and the number of excess deaths would have been managed downward. Let's live in a "can do" country where people earn their freedom and liberty every day by being civically responsible to self and others.
The cost of being responsible by wearing a mask is less than a half a...

Read moreCoffee shop owner Gary Lauters has established a lovely coffee house with an in-house roasting service in the heart of Venice, FL.
The products are unique and of surpassing quality: smoothies, iced and hot coffees of varieties you'll likely find nowhere else, pastries, mixed coffee treats, French press made to order, truly fresh-roasted beans from around the world, sandwiches, bagels, croissants, paninis, shakes, Rishi teas, house truffles, apparel, and works from local artists. They offer gluten-free and vegan
All of the goods are made on site, so one can certainly be assured of freshness. Everybody is quite fastidious about the quality of the product and the service was particularly friendly and swift. Our serveuse, Savannah, was particularly bright, quick, and friendly.
The products all seemed amazing. I certainly enjoyed my "Bullfrog" (chocolate/mint/espresso served iced or hot). My friends raved about the cold brew. However, I found that above even the superb quality of the products they craft, the knowledge and passion brought by the proprietor was remarkable.
He was kind enough to take my whole party back to the roasting area and gave us an interesting tour and discussion about coffee production from seed to cup. When one learns of his professional credentials, it's not a big surprise that his considerable knowledge is heavily bent toward coffee. He could easily be among any number of executives in corporate coffee, but from discussion, it is plain that he has a bone or two to pick with some of the titans of the industry, primarily for what they are doing to biodiversity. In chatting with him, you'll find that personal relationships have a great deal to do with the varieties of coffee he offers. Many of these varieties are of sorts from small harvesters that don't receive much exposure from larger businesses.
You owe it to yourself to make a stop, have a chat, and maybe learn a little something in...
