Was seated with my family inside, my father has a small service dog. After being seated and taking our order we were then asked to provide the dogs credentials and informed we needed a service vest. After showing the tag on the dogs collars that he was in fact a service dog, the owner then came to out table after appetizers arrived and asked what is your service dog trained to do. We informed her that he was an emotional support service animal, which she then explained was unacceptable to be allowed inside the establishment. She said that if you had PTSD that would be ok but an emotional support animal was not ok. We explained that legally the nature of our disability didnt need to be revealed and yet they still made us sit outside in the very cold weather. This is utter nonsense. No customers complained, the service animal was behaving as per his training, quietly sitting on the floor. I'm very upset as to the way this situation was handled. It's very cold outside and our food became very cold very fast. After realizing the incorrect handling of the situation, we were given a free dessert. I believe that our waitress was upset about an animal in her area and proceeded to voice her complaints to the owner. The owner then acted to fix a non-existent issue. The ADA states one need not reveal the nature of thier disability. How am I to explain my service dog is trained for emotional support for my PTSD without revealing the nature of my disability. It is absolute nonsense that this establishment decided my service dog or disability was not enough to sit inside. I feel that there is either a gross misunderstanding of the laws surrounding this topic, or a heavy bias against individuals with emotional support service...
Read moreThere were 14 of us. We had 1 waiter Walter. He also had another big table of at least 8 and another party of 5. We were there at 5.30 so we were there during happy hour. He took our drink orders which came out fairly quickly,,He then took our dinner orders and I asked for Caesar salad which he said had an up charge of 1 dollar. He was waiting on the other large table when I caught his eye and my friend and I also ordered another glass of wine. the bill came and I noticed I was charged full price for my second glass of wine where my friend was charged happy hour price. We both ordered and received same time. Also bill showed up charge of 2.50 for the salad. 2 dollars extra for wine and 2.50 for salad. 4.50 certainly wasn’t going to make or break me but it was the principal I went to talk to Walter to have it corrected and he said only his manager could do that. manager Anya Latin treated me like I was trying to get something for nothing. I have never met a manager who did not correct customer concern. I told her Walter told me a 1 dollar upcharge but she insisted it was a 2.50 upcharge and that my wine was ordered after 6. I know it was ordered before and Walter being so busy he didn’t ring it up before 6. I told her my friends bill showed the Happy hour price. She didn’t care one bit. She begrudgingly took of the 1.50 for the salad but absolutely refused to refund for the wine. ..as I said 4.50 off a 73 dollar bill was not going to break me but I could not believe her attitude. We will not be going back as a group over her attitude towards a customer who has eaten...
Read moreIf you English this review is for you. To start the waitress was fantastic. We got cod and chips, bangers and mash, scotch eggs and onion rings with mushrooms. The fish and chips were not bad, chips and fish were greasy like the fryer wasn’t hot enough or not cooked long enough. The (real) bangers and mash were perfect, the brown gravy perfection. Scotch eggs are 90% there, the batter is not right again greasy and not a bread (panko) like consistency. Onion rings and mushrooms were good. Here comes the issue. We returned for breakfast. Had to try the full English !!! It was complete garbage. The bacon was as thick as paper and rubbery. The baked beans were bbq style. The tomato’s were sliced which was strange. Eggs were cooked to perfection. I’m a true Brit and didn’t have high expectations. The server was correct they are pretty close to authentic, but the cost !! It was insane $70 for two breakfast and a couple sausage rolls. The sausage rolls were a complete fail !! Over the years I’ve perfected the art of cooking English food my sausage rolls put this place to shame. So to sum it up, if your excited you finally found a true full English breakfast don’t bother. Want some awesome bangers and mash this is your place. Want some cod and chips meh its about the same as Culver’s. Want a great environment with nice wait staff this is it. But be ready to drop a few bob as it...
