Went there and tried to order a breakfast bowl. It comes with biscuit pieces on the bottom and gravy over the top. I don’t always like the gravy restaurants use (some put maple syrup in it amongst other things) and I don’t like the biscuit pieces to be soggy. So I asked if that part of it could be on the side. I wasn’t asking for extra or anything, just the part that would be normally in the bowl, just put it on the side. The cook came out and said he would put the biscuit pieces on the side but refused to put whatever gravy that would normally go on top, on the side also. He said it had to go in the bowl, no other options. So we left. It was silly. It was just someone being difficult for the sake of it. He was willing to leave it off altogether but wasn’t willing to serve it if it wasn’t in the bowl. Unbelievable and disappointing. We always like to try new places. This one was a bust unfortunately.
In response to the owner: I appreciate your response. We have found a diner in Vermilion that has no problem accommodating, as a matter of fact I’m sitting there eating a breakfast bowl with the gravy on the side right now, and they have a completely packed house. Not to mention, every small business besides yours that I’ve been to has accomodated. I told the waitress where we are eating today about my experience at your establishment and she couldn’t believe it. We will continue to take our business elsewhere. There are places that can handle these requests and do so politely and efficiently. I understand not everybody is capable of this kind of service but again that’s why we have choices. We will take our business to the places that can handle it. Thank you again! Read moreWe have been coming here since it opened, but NEVER AGAIN!!!! After waiting 10 minutes to be seated, with 4 . empty tables, I went to sit at one of the tables that was just wiped down. The OWNER told me to go back and wait ( very rudly) and she would seat us when table was clean, I explained that it was already cleaned. She said don't tell her what to do. So I turned around and left. As I was leaving she very unkindly said bye!!! How do you treat people who are willing to spend money on your establishment so poorly? I know everyone has bad Day but if you're the owner you need to set a better example . Shame on you
Let me first say I'm sorry for my behavior, all though your version is not correct and I'm still not returning to your restaurant. I am a heart patient and all I wanted to do is sit down at one of your 4 empty tables and I was going to sit down at the one that was just wiped down.
