Your Last Chance BBQ — Restaurant in Vermilion

Gave constructive criticism on a news article about how this business may not survive based on how the owner responds to any negative reviews and the own did was he does best with negativity. Commented something distasteful and then BLOCKED me.

A word of advice: if you respond to negativity with crass and anger immediately then it will show in your day-to-day. If you can't take anything negative being said about your business without anger and name calling...then your business won't survive.

Myself as a consumer would love to give this company my money but I check reviews. And I check bad reviews (as with a lot of customers) first to see how things were handled. I've seen bad reviews but have seen the owners come back with compassion and understanding and trying to either rectify the situation or compromise on it. With good companies getting people to change their reviews based on the owner responses to make the situation better.

Pizza Galley is one of those local businesses that does this with bad reviews.

All I stated was that this establishment won't be able to stay in business with the owners mindset on reviews he doesn't like. And I stand by that as he immediately reacted with anger for really no reason.

I would love to keep a good business in vermilion but sometimes the owners need to be more kind...

The atmosphere was nice but the music was a little loud while ordering. This was our first time trying...we had the pork nachos it was a large portion covered with cheese sauce and BBQ pork. The pork was a little dry and lots of chips were left over with nothing on them. Pastelitos was an egg roll wrap (please correct me if im wrong)with beef in it. Just very plain and greasy and not very flavorful. The kids hot dog, my daughter didn't like it, the bun was dry and broke and I ended up eating the hot dog. I hope this place lasts a long time, bc we have literally never been disappointed. The food is amazing and the prices are reasonable. I’d recommend it to anyone around. My favorite part though is how dedicated the owner is. You can tell how much his business and customers mean to him. He isn’t some dude in a suit buying out the last failing business to try to flip it. You can talk to him like a real human - he isn’t stuck up and all about the money.
