Bianna's Pizza — Restaurant in Vernon

Check your credit card charges! I ordered a large grinder and fries and picked them up at the restaurant, and noticed it pre-authed my card for over $33. Now, this place's POS system (like others) does pre-auth more for a possible tip, then resolves at the correct amount. The next day, $27.99 came out of my account (for a single GRINDER AND FRIES).

I of course went down there and spoke with the owner, who's response was less that satisfactory, to say the least. He re-added it up on the cash register, and I even remembered the proper amount of $23.40 before it actually totaled. That's what came up on the register the day I bought it. But then he manually enters it into his credit card system (another reason I like online ordering, which this place doesn't have) off to the side where who knows what he charges you. He'll say he "did it in front of you" well yes, you were standing across the counter "in front" of me; but there's no way to see what he enters into the credit card terminal.

His response was the worst part, he told me to "contact my credit card company / bank" because he entered $23.40 and it was THEM who somehow overcharged me! YUP. He rips ME off then blames the credit card company. Instead of an apology and a quick refund of the $4.59 he owes me (after me showing him my checking account was charged $27.99 on my phone) he tells me it's my problem. It's a shame, this was becoming a regular place for us but over $4.59 he's willing to lose a customer.

I'm posting this here because if he's been doing it regularly then hopefully others may hopefully notice. I'm also going to post elsewhere and file complaints where possible. Hope it was worth the $4.59! What a way to treat a paying,...

Food is ok and quick and the owner is super friendly. Pretty sure the newer delivery guy has been drunk a few times while delivering our food, he's showed up reeking of booze and slurring his words more than once. Even though he's been to our house several times he still manages to get lost. All minor issues since there really isn't too much decent pizza around here and we mostly pick up. My BIGGEST complaint is that every single time we order we are charged a different amount then what we were expecting to pay based on the menu prices, sometimes by alot. At first it was a few more dollars then it was $5 or $6 but this last time it was close to $13 more. I could let the few small differences go because I really just didn't want to deal with it but this last time really ticked me off. I called on it one time and they told me the menu online hadn't been updated and some prices went up, ok fine. So now I grab a paper menu every time I go in the store, the prices have changed several times. This time I call and the reason I was given for the price difference is that I used a credit card so the credit card company charged me a small fee 🤔🤔 I don't think that $13 is a small fee. Needless to say beware of the prices and I am now cautious of paying with my card and uncomfortable using it. I honestly don't think I'll be going back which is a shame because we've been ordering from there pretty regularly since...

This place has THE BEST pizza in all of CT. The crust is never soft or soggy it’s always the perfect crunch weather I get slices or pies. The owner not only cares about his business and his food but he genuinely cares about the community. I’m a regular door dash delivery driver and pick up frequent orders here. I’ve gotten to know the owner and he is such a professional and caring person and it shows in how he treats his customers and business and the way he makes the food. More people should support business like this and not nasty food chains that only care about money. This place is for the people and the people should be for this place.
