Yang Zi Jiang — Restaurant in Vernon

So tried this place out yesterday as I always try to find a better Chinese place for take out. Overall not to bad. Definitly one of the better places I have had and I will definitly be going back. I got the boneless spare ribs. They were good, Not dry and had good flavor. Also got the beef and broccoli and glad to see that they keep it as beef and broccoli as some place add to many vegetables to it. They only added a few carrot slivers to theres but it was delicious. Also i got a pint of pork fried rice, Wasnt to bad. It had an ok flavor as it should. The place looks like it is well kept. I also like if when they have good packaging which they do. There online ordering was easy and quick. I liked it alot, it made easy to order. So I would definitly suggest trying it if your looking for good...

How this place has 4.7 stars is beyond me! Either people around here have the worst taste in food ever! Or the other reviews are paid for.

The chicken in my food had the texture of a wet overcooked noodle, I honestly couldn't identify that it was even meat at first. This usually means that the chicken you are getting is chemically altered and injected with other types of meat such as pork ( usually Skin and Fat) typically only about 51% real chicken. The flavor? an absolute insult to Chinese American Cuisine everywhere. It was almost as though the food was cooked days before and just reheated. the fried rice was also not the greatest. it looked old and dried out.

There was a Rude Lady that answered the phone, I ordered orange chicken at 2:00pm, I assumed she knew it was for lunch but apparently not so after she stated the price $14.85 I told her it was for the chicken only and for lunch.. She raised her voice and shouted that I needed to say that then, I said what? She repeated herself by stating that next time say it is for lunch.. I guess she didn’t understand English because I said it was for lunch.. Anyhow I never went to pick it ip because people like that playing with someone’s food especially when having a attitude is not Good business, I will take my business elsewhere. Good day ma’am.
