South Beach Pizzeria — Restaurant in Vero Beach

My husband and I ate here for the first time in July. The pizza was amazing...Roberto "Bob" tossed the dough and cooked the pizza to perfection. We returned a week later and ordered an Italian sub and a cheese steak. Both were disappointing. The Italian sub was a joke with the tiny amount of ingredients. I returned this past Monday with my daughter who heard our rave reviews about the pizza. Bob was not working and the cheese pizza we ordered was more than disappointing. First of all there wasn't any cheese on it. I asked if they could please add some and pop it back into the oven. We then received our pizza with four little pieces of shredded cheese that were added and proceeded to bite into half cooked dough. Bite can this be when it was put back in the oven? More than disappointing since we are moving here and had already planned to make this our "go to" place after a day at the beach on a regular basis. Sad to say, it...

Bad customer service. My order took forever, when I called was told they were on the way; wings were cold and not cooked as I had requested I repeated my order twice to ensure that I would get what I wanted, naked extra crispy with sauce on side, requested plates, salt and pepper because we were in a hotel, none arrived, requested mayo and extra oil for my Italian sandwich, none arrived, when I called for a third time was told to ask hotel for all of these. At last , once order arrived...cold wings, just awful. Staff not pleasant, better if the said they couldn't fulfill my requests rather than be disappointed. This place may be small but it has the best homemade sauce & homemade meatballs I've had in years at any price. Key word Homemade. Nice dinner at a good price. Salad was crisp, had a nice mix. The marinara sauce for the garlic knots was killer. Both homemade. The meatballs were juicy, tender and flavorful. To sum all up, I am Italian and have eaten pasta from New York to Miami this meal ranks way up top. Highly recommended. I have not tried there pizza but if is anything like there homemade spaghetti & meatball its got to be good. My friend had the stuffed shells, most excellent....
