I have been to Grace a couple of times, but unfortunately will probably not be back. Food was fine, but customer service was unkind and somewhat dismissive.
My partner ordered online and went to pick up, but the food was significantly delayed. She checked in at the counter just to make sure that she knew where to pick up (as there was nowhere listed), and the barista was somewhat rude. We were understanding about this because it was a busy morning, but she had just asked politely since she wasn't sure where to go when her food was ready.
Other members of our party received their food (incorrect orders at first, and received a rude response when they asked for what they ordered), but my partner's did not come out for a while—we were also understanding about this since my partner has a few serious allergies to gluten, dairy, and soy.
When we went up to get the food, I heard the baristas talking to each other about her allergies so assumed the drink would probably be out soon. After about half an hour, she still hadn't received her drink, so one of the other members of our party went up to ask about it, as my partner was nervous to speak again after the response she had received earlier.
Upon being asked, the barista told her that the oat milk had dairy in it, so they needed her to pick another milk, suggesting coconut, almond, or soy milk (despite the mentioned soy allergy). They had never called her up to ask about this, so we assume they would have just never made the drink if we hadn't checked in again.
My partner then requested no milk to be safe (she ordered an americano with lavender and a splash of oat milk), and received a to-go cup with a shot of espresso and lavender syrup—no hot water or anything.
Overall the vibe was just very uncomfortable. We tried to be very friendly because we know that it can be overwhelming for staff to have a morning rush, but ultimately we just felt burdensome and like we couldn't ask for...
Read moreI've been to this location several times since moving to the area 6 months ago.
The coffee is very expensive here - most times seemingly for no real special reason. Expect every drink item here to be $1.00 - $3.00 more expensive than some downtown coffee shops (depending on the additions to your drink - oat milk, ect.). The pastries are fresh sometimes, but nothing there has me ecstatic with flavor quite yet.
The worst part does seem to be the service, as throughout my several visits it has ranged from "ok" to "horrific", and more typically the latter. Last visit I was at the drive-thru hoping to get two quick coffees before work. There was one car in front of me in line who I guess had ordered food or something so waited in line for 25 minutes before I was able to get up to the window (to then wait even longer for my coffees to be made). There's such simple solutions to bottlenecks like these (ie, have the car pull up to the front to park and wait for the order to be ready, ect) and I felt like this really was a sad oversight which rendered the point of a drive-through moot (quick service) and wastes customer's time.
I really want to like this place more since the location is very convenient for me, but in-between their expensive prices and unapologetic unawareness on customer experience, these guys better change some things if they want to keep business flowing, especially before the new Starbucks opens up across the street (and yes my usual pour coffee is less expensive...
Read moreOne of the worst experiences I have had in years in a business. One of the staff tried to tell my three teenage kids to leave, because they did not order anything. The kids were setting quietly at a table next to me one drawing in a sketch book, one on her phone, and one with his head down on the table after a late night.
I had ordered two drinks for myself and the kids did not want anything when I ordered. The shop only was at about 5% capacity on a Thursday morning at 1030am.
the second time the brown haired middle aged woman came over to tell me kids to leave. I addressed her explain they were with me. She looked at my drinks and then snootily stetted "Ok then, Ok then" with a sower face then walked off.
My daughters felt so awkward after they opted to go set in the car while I finished my work I was doing.
As I was working a group of ladies put some tables taught for a birth day gathering, and I heard the one that organized it complains about the exsperance she had a week earlier. When she came to quadrate with the state about the birth day event. She specifically was complaining about the way the staff speak to the customers
Needless to say, I...
