Dragon City was walking distance from hotel, and craving Chinese I gave it a try. Small restaurant in a small mall. Walking in, you see typical stuff you see in most restaurants of the kind. Lots of plants, hanging lanterns, etc.
There is a sitting area, but it is behind a table setup to block access. When asking about dine in options, there was a hesitant, I could but it would be in take out container. No worries, asked for it to go. Ordered Szechuan Beef and Fried Rice. received order in about 10 minutes, while waiting in the sitting area. Kitchen is in full view so no surprises.
Meal came in plastic lock lid container, and included a spring/egg roll. Not really sure which it was, as the contents were not quite defined, and more of a puree. The beef was listed as spicy, and though is had some accented flavor, I would not consider it spicy. It was made with a gravy which which was more like a roast beef gravy than what I have typically had with this dish. That being said it was good, with the beef and vegetables cooked nicely with some crispness still in the vegetables. The rice was pork fried rice, and it was decent.
The meal was good for the value, though I was looking for a sit down place to relax. The staff were nice enough, though not overtly friendly. The place was not dirty, just messy with lots of nick knacks.
It was good, and knowing what to expect, I would have no problem planning to pick up and take out, the next time I...
Read moreOne star is the minimum. If I could rate less I would. Food was a few dollars more than what was represented on the Facebook page. I ordered sesame chicken. The sauce was tasty. The rest was disappointing. After a couple of bites, I realized I didn’t taste much chicken. So, I started opening up each of the breaded bits to see how much chicken was actually in each one. For my $12.xx I received a handful of broccoli florets, approximately 2oz of chicken and the rest was breading and sauce. To show how little chicken was actually in the dish, I took a photo of the leftover breading. That photo is ALL BREADING. I also ordered LoMein. There were a handful of veggies and 95% noodles. I have been in town For the past week and a half completing training at Epic. I ordered from Chang Jiang last week. It was pretty good. I wish I had repeated that order instead of trying...
Read moreLast time I visit this place. Order take out, women cooking was coughing, clearing her throat and spitting into the trash next to the fryer. Omg!! Did this in front of me 4 times!! I didn’t want to walk away, but almost did. Got my food, dumplings were burned, the egg roles were also burned as well. Food did not look appetizing at all. After telling the wife about what the chef was doing and looking at the food. We threw it in the garbage, and decided to make dinner. I don’t ever leave reviews. But I can’t stand to see a restaruant who is offering this type of service. I work in the marketing world, so buying good reviews is easy. Those good reviews I see aren’t real. I can’t see how they can be from my experience and the other bad...
