Ashley Mac's Kitchen — Restaurant in Vestavia Hills

Correction !!! My first visit to Ashley Mac and I bought "Poppyseed Chicken" (3) casserole's for Easter family dinner. I guess I was not prepared for how watery and chicken- less these casserole's were. I bought three and my family of 9 only ate one. Anyone have a similar experience or am I being unfair ? OK, maybe I should have just served hot dogs. UPDATE : A nice lady from 'Ashley Mac's' did respond to my post and e mailed me. She was very nice , offered a full refund and this great excuse : ASHLEY MAC DOES NOT MAKE THE 'POPPYSEED CHICKEN' CASSEROLE - IT IS PREPARED ELSEWHERE. SO THEY WERE UNAWARE THAT IT DID NOT ACTUALLY CONTAIN MUCH CHICKEN AND WAS WATERY. NOW THEY WILL CHECK FOR CHICKEN IN THE CASSEROLES.. So now we know the whole story that I wish I had known before . I will raise their rating to "two stars " for being nice about...

Picked up food here the other night for the first...and likely the last time. I ordered the Rosemary Lime chicken. Couldn't taste any rosemary or any lime in the chicken or the sauce. So it felt like I got a small salad, a large spoon of rice, and maybe 4oz of chicken for $10.50 (photo). My wife ordered the signature chicken salad on a croissant. She received a small sandwich tightly wrapped in cling film with maybe 3oz. of chicken salad inside for $9.50. My son ordered a hot ham and swiss which, likewise, was two small, individually wrapped yeast rolls and mixed fruit for $10 The food was good. The small portions left all of us hungry. IMHO there are similar eateries which offer more value...

Had a basket full with multiple frozen dinners, so many they wouldn’t all fit into the basket. So I dropped one on the ground. The 3 workers just stared at me and did not offer to help me pick it up or hold any of my items. I was 1/2 in the restaurant, so they weren’t busy. Brought the meal to the cash register and finally had to ask for someone to help me get the lid back on. Bought over $100 of food and they wouldn’t give me a cooler bag to put the food in. I bought so much food and the paper bag it was put in of course ripped as I figured it would. RUDE and horrible service will not...
