El Poblano Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Vestavia Hills

I come here all the time it’s I normally have GREAT experiences. From the food to service it’s normal 5stars.. but today I had the worst experience by far! My server waited until we were almost done with our cheese to take our order. Short server DIDNT ID ME and He brought me back a margarita that was full of syrup and SALT I sent it back and asked for a remake and he made an annoyed face. I would have rather him ID me and bring me a REAL Margarita rather then make me a disgusting drink because he thought I was underage. Brought back the same drink full of SALT I just asked for it to be removed from my ticket. Quesadilla came out and it was sitting in oil/grease so bread was extremely soggy.. Short round server did not check on us at all, we were finish eating and he passed us about 3-4 times said NOTHING. After 15 of being done eating we just walked to the front to pay and he screamed CHECK at me in front of everyone as if we were not paying. He came to the front to watch us pay and I asked for a manager. He walked away and FLIPPED ME OFF TWO TIMES. I also say the manager smiling when he went to the back to talk his crap. I informed the manager that I saw her smiling laughing and she told me I didn’t have to pay. No apologies nothing. They will be reported. Such a poor to-go order experience. Ordered a large queso and paid extra for salsas because they will only give 2 tiny ones (even though we ordered 6 adult entrees). Put one tiny bag of chips in the bag to go with the queso and salsas. Also, got our chicken and cheese quesadillas wrong. Only gave us cheese & had to drive back because my toddler was upset with no chicken and to ask for more chips. They opened them up and put a little chicken on them didn’t make new and said we can give you a few more chips. Such a bummer we order from here all the time & it’s not ok they keep doing this. Hope they see this and will give the appropriate amount of chips? It makes no sense? Unlimited in restaurant? And barely any for take out?

Please consider families who don’t want to bring screaming toddlers in your establishment but still like chips to easy their queso & salsa!

Good food but not worth your money...

Food and service were terrible. After I ordered, I received my food in less than 5 minutes. I ordered two beef soft tacos with rice and beans. My tacos were wrapped in foil… obviously they must have been sitting for a while. If I had wanted tacos in a wrapper, I would have gone to Taco Bell. Not to a restaurant where you dine in. My waitress was not attentive. The friend I ate with had to walk to the bar and tell them she needed more soda just to get a refill. And I felt that for the quality of the food I got, I was definitely overcharged. I've gone to Mexican restaurants who have had much better food for a much lower price. I don't suggest...
