Marta's Bakery & Catering — Restaurant in Vestavia Hills

I called talking in Spanish thinking it was a Hispanic Bakery. They lady who answered hung up on me.. I thought well maybe the called dropped - i called again the lady picked up and told me we don't speak Spanish and hung up on me and did not give me the chance to explain I speak English... I called again and talked in English and told her I was the one who called speaking in Spanish and you hung up on me... she stated we don't speak Spanish and I told her you did not give me time to answer and say I speak English she did not apologize and was very rude and disrespectful... this company does not deserve my business...

I was frustrated 2 months before my wedding, I could not find someone who can prepare my kosher cake. Justin from Marta's bakery was willing to do her first kosher cake, she came to our kitchen and learnt everything about it. She was beyond of her job, she brought the ingredients a day before and she helped us to decorate the cake and find special ingredients we requested in order to keep it kosher. Everybody loved it. She also figured out to find the birds I could not have the time to find it and did everything for a good price, punctuality and quality....

My husband and I were one of Martas first customers. In fact, I think it's our dollar bill framed there. That was many years ago, and we have enjoyed every year. Martas is wonderful. She bakes like an angel. You will go back time and time again once you taste her many offerings. Our favorites are her chocolate cake, carrot cake and cream cheese brownies. Ih and her Peach bread when in season. All if her breads are delicious though. Her cooler always has quick pick up foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great casseroles. So much there. ...
