I am deeply disappointed and disheartened by the discriminatory treatment I recently experienced at one of your franchise restaurants. Despite sharing the same logo, the atmosphere and service at this particular location were incredibly poor, in stark contrast to my previous experiences at other Milos hamburger restaurants.
Upon entering the establishment to pick up an order at Milo's, I was not greeted or acknowledged in any way. I had to specifically request a greeting from the cashier. To my astonishment, two employees saw me and walked away. This occurred on August 23rd, 2023, at around 7:30 in the evening. It seemed as if the cashier, who was on duty at the time, simply didn't approve of my appearance or who I was. This level of unprofessionalism is truly disheartening.
As a customer, I believe the responsibility of the restaurant staff is to serve all patrons equally, without prejudice or discrimination. Regardless of who enters the establishment, employees should greet customers warmly and provide respectful service. I would think that in an industry that serves the public, there would be a commitment to equal treatment for all.
The stark contrast between this particular franchise and the one I frequent in Pelham, which I believe is owned by the same franchisee, is truly concerning. It appears that there may have been a failure in properly vetting and training the employees at this location. Such differential treatment based on appearance or assumption of social status is not aligned with the ethos of a reputable restaurant.
Coming from New York City, where equal treatment and respect for all is the norm, I am saddened by this experience. Some may argue that this incident is not significant, but when multiple employees purposely ignore a customer who greeted them warmly, it becomes a significant problem. Such behavior not only tarnishes the reputation of your establishment but it also discourages customers from returning.
I hope that you will take this matter seriously and investigate the incident thoroughly. It is crucial that your franchise upholds the values of inclusivity and respects every individual who walks through its doors. Proper training and evaluation of employees are necessary to ensure that discriminatory behavior has no place in your restaurants.
I urge you to address this matter promptly and take the necessary steps to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future. Discrimination should never be tolerated in any establishment that serves the public. Failure to address and rectify these concerns will undoubtedly impact the reputation and patronage of...
Read moreOrdered two of the $15 Double Thick Cheeseburger meals with NO ONIONS (food allergy) in the drive thru. We get home and discover both burgers covered in a comical amount of onions that’s clearly intentional, well over a handful. I called back to ask to speak to the manager and try to explain the issue. Her immediately defensive response without missing a beat, “my cook would never do that” and put me on hold. Wonderful customer service and $30 worth of horse meat that’s now in the trash. I’d be ashamed to own or manage a restaurant with such poor reviews and ratings. I should have read them before visiting this location.
Edit to add: 3 months later decided to try this location again 6:30pm Friday 2/17/23. Pulled up to drive thru speaker, no one in line, and was asked to hold please. Sit there for a couple minutes in silence, pull around and the entire restaurant is a ghost town. Nobody in the kitchen, nobody at the register, no customers inside. Who knows where the night shift was. That has to be great for the bottom line. As a business owner I would be furious if my employees were refusing to serve customers in what should be one of the busiest times of the week for this location.
Edit to add: 7/17/24 - I’m not sure how this particular Milo’s is still open. After a year and a half I mistakenly gave them another chance only to run into the rudest speaker attendant who kept saying “is that all? ” and audibly sighing after each item ordered. What would have been a family of four eating a $12-15 meal each turned into $0 for your restaurant and we went to the Chick-Fil-A next door where we had better food for less money and no ratchet attitude from the drive thru operator. Good riddance to this location, you are a disgrace to the...
Read moreEveryone was so nice and professional. One guy washed his hands after break. Everyone had gloves on. The WHOLE restaurant was clean. And as we were leaving the lady in the front took time out with our three old daughter and made sure she was happy 😁 and enjoyed herself. My little girl hopped in her arms and gave her a big hug. It was the cutest thing. I've never experienced that before. And she said make sure y'all come back and see me. And as we were walking out I heard at least three people say have a good day, have a blessed day and enjoy the rest of your day!! It really...
