First time customer, will not ever be returning. Not for sure if this is her name, Jamie, my waitress was terrible. We waited for 5 minutes for a menu, although there were only two other tables and a second waitress. Not an issue. Ordered water and a coffee while looking at the menu, got two waters, had to quickly tell her that he ordered coffee before she walked away. She turned to him to ask, hello I just said he did.... thought that was rude to ignore me. She didn't come to check on us so I waited to ask for creamer. While waiting to order our waitress sat down at a customers table to talk for 10-15 minutes. We sat there staring at her to tell her with our eyes we were ready.. When we got our food my biscuit for my gravy was missing, eggs were under cooked and there was a hair in my gravy. I requested the biscuit as well as the creamer for the coffee and salt and pepper, as there was no salt, pepper or creamer at our booth. Ordered a glass of milk and tried to over look the under cooked eggs and hair in my gravy. She returned with two salt shakers, 3 small creamers, my biscuit and milk. Asked for pepper again and a straw for my milk. She grabbed pepper off of another table said her apron didn't have any straws and walked away. She came back 5 or more minutes later and asked again if we needed anything and I told her again i was waiting for the straw. We ate and then had to wait for 30 minutes to get two to go boxes.... as my boyfriend went up to pay I finally gave up on waiting for them and walked up to ask the cashier. She intercepted me and so I told her I needed two boxes. She came back with the receipt and boxes after standing around talking to her coworker for a few minutes just holding our stuff... She stuck her finger and the dirty receipt in my to go box. I asked her not to do that as it's unsanitary and we are in a pandemic. She didn't apologise or get me a new box. My boyfriend went up to pay and she came back to tell me to go pay upfront, I stopped loading up the food to point out to her that my Boyfriend was already currently at the counter waiting for a cashier to check him out. I asked for a bag since I had two boxes of food, she took another 5 minutes and didn't come back over, instead she went up to my boyfriend and gave him the bag while I was waiting for it. Rude. I had to step by step ask for everything and constantly remind her for things... that was awful customer service on her part and I never want to go back now because of her. We sat down no waters we served i thought they forget but in the end i asked bill he said we will include the gartuity i said ok no issues why he said SINCE YOU DIDNT PAID THE GRATUITY CLOSE TO 15% my manager named Ahmed asked me Whenever this guy come add his gratuity automatically. Then i said last when i came last time we were absingle family and ordered platter for two and phili steak he said O u ordered 80$ food and u were big family i said no u mistaken then the manager came on phone as usually stupid apologizing we mistaken u. Then i asked the server print the last time receipt then eventually he found last week receipt and said yes ur order was phili steak one. But still u left less i said man u should have told me what the point of embarssing we are eating here for last 7 years every week. The argument got heated since the waiter is still not convinced that i paid 55$ not 80$ menu and we were 6 not 8 people. And the manager said if u keep on arguing i will call police i said u stupid u embarrassing and losing a customer he said when i said we are mistaken but i said ur waiter keep on pointing me. And aslo my manager said that whenever this guy come add his gratuity. I think mr Aed is stupid and dont know how to deal with customers and pressurzing his workers to add grautuity. One last thing if we are 8 to 10 people and bill is above 100$ they include gratuity automatically i remind mr lost manager that too. Read moreThey are under new management. The breakfast is usually very good. Cars are lined up all down columbiana rd so that's a sign that people love the food. However any other time of the day it's usually pretty empty and it's just because their lunch and dinner foods aren't that great. I think Makarios the Mediterranean restaurant, that has a location downtown, are the new management.
It is very strange it being the "Ranch House" but serving Mediterranean food also. Like 1 page you are reading about hamburger steak, macaroni and cheese, fried chicken, corn, etc. And the next page has gyros, shrimp kabobs, and things like that haha. But I guess they were hoping to bring in more customers for lunch and dinner. Honestly the American food for lunch and dinner isn't that great. And the Mediterranean is't either. I order a gyro and they put slices of raw white onions on top. It was terrible. I rather go to Purple Onion for gyros where they grill the onions so they are cooked. Also if you order anything with vegetables on the Makarios menu, the vegetables are never cooked thoroughly because they are cut so thick. Like you will have a squash and zucchini cut so thick that when they grill it the center of the vegetable is not cooked. And the outside is heavily charred from the grill. It gives the appearance of being burnt but I just scrapped it off and at it anyway. They also grill a large chunk of tomato that is a ball of mush that liquifies on your plate. That was terrible. It has been like all 3 times I've visited so I no longer go for lunch or dinner.
