Waffle House — Restaurant in Vestavia Hills

I took 3 African American boys to eat here per their request. They weren't really busy but the bar area wasn't clean. Our waitress came and half wiped it down and left it extremely wet. She couldn't comprehend that the orders were separate even tho we kept saying it. The food was good. One of the boys finished first and accidentally spilled his drink. He dryed it up by himself and put his ticket on his plate. The manager comes over and snatches it up, washes it off and throws it back down in front of him with no words. The young man gets up and goes to pay his bill even tho everyone else is still eating. The next child is finished, as he gets ready to pay his phone dies. He goes to charge his phone(he's 15 naturally everything is on his phone). The manager again zooms in on him. At this point he can't even cook for looking at them and whispering to the waitress. After his phone charges he goes to pay also. Finally my son is still eating but he's 90% done. The manager is just staring at me, to which I respond he's not done but trust me I'm going to pay my bill as well. When he finishes I paid the bill that didn't include a tip for the waitress that mugging us after the manager kept whispering to her. Meanwhile the other waitress had to pay a $30 tab for a white couple that didn't have the money to pay. The manager said they need to call someone to cash app them and...

The moment I walked in a waitress greeted me Good morning. I said Good morning can I get some coffee, coffee, coffee.? She replied, "Sure". She took my order. Not even 4 minutes after I sat down, my food order was in front of me. Just the way I like. Except the waitress(the same waitress) give me 1 jelly, for my 4 slices of toast. I asked for soneones attention, and the cook walks over 3 packets more. I was about half way from bring finished eating, and still no coffee. Well, after another attempt at some attention, i got the waitresses atteniton & her reply was that she didnt hear me ask for coffee when I came in....lol 3, ready to pay...customers...waited at least 10 minutes with no one coming to the register. I got the lady washing dishes attention (She looked up at us 3 4 diffrent times already) she then took our 3 payments. SERVICE- Disorganized and incomplete. Seems like a "That's not my job, I dont get the tip" kind of attitudes. Food the Cook...

I had three employees ask me if I needed any help when I walked in like I was there to deliver a message to them or something? I wasn’t sure who to speak to until they scattered around again! Then I tell this guy to his face I wanted cheese on my hash browns and I said sorry I mean covered I forgot how to say it and then he writes down whatever their sign language is for cheese on hash browns right in front of me and said ok then completely forgets it! Now I had to walk home today due to my truck just got out into the shop and now here I am thinking oh maybe I should walk all the way back there to see if this is a fixable problem then walk all the way back home or pay for an Uber to make things smoother or should I just accept they hired an incompetent employee that clearly threw away his notes?
