Super friendly staff. Helpful and easy going. Very fast food delivery. Lots of bar seats. Lots of outdoor seating as well as outdoor bar seating.
The chicken tenders are not the biggest but they are juicy, taste good and priced appropriately. The biscuit appetizer was very delicious and the sweet butter they come with was also a delight. They are sweet biscuits not like those savory ones from cheddar bay (iykyk). House cut fries were not for me. They were cooked well and nicely seasoned, but they were a bit limp and far too skinny for my preference. If you like a skinny pile of fries, these are for you. The quarter fried chicken has a good simple salt n pepper seasoning that while tasting good was difficult to pull free of the bone short of having to eat it like a cave man. Bright and flavorful tomato, cucumber and onion side was also a big winner. The white bean side was also quite good. Almost like Lima beans had a baby with black eyed peas. The white BBQ sauce was uncharacteristically spicy for a white BBQ but still had good flavor. The lemonade had a good mix of tangy and sweet.
All in all, I had a great visit and will go back, just not on a Friday night . Too many kids and the parking was quite abysmal even considering the parking lot was a good size. The draft beer selection was... adequate, but not overly impressive considering it's literally in the name of the place. It was a great value though with surprisingly...
Read moreThey should be ashamed of themselves. I ordered the fowl mouth sandwich combo and they charged $3 extra for subbing onion rings for fries and they only gave me three below average sized onion rings. THREE onion rings?? So a dollar each? I was better off just keeping the fries (more on that later). Then the sandwich was a good 4/10 and that's me being generous. I could taste the old grease it was cooked in. My Texas toast wasn't even toasted. I had high expectations and they definitely dropped the ball. I will say the onion rings were a good 6/10 based on taste alone, but overall I give this 3/10. I don't even want to get into the disappointment that was the fried chicken plate. Just like my sandwich, the fries tasted like old grease and left a very weird after taste. 2/10 and that's just because they actually put enough in the box for me to "enjoy". The chicken tasted like it had little to no seasoning on it with old grease being the tastebud headliner... again. 2/10 as well. Mac and cheese tasted like textured cheesy water. No seasoning at all. Talk about disappointment my goodness. 2/10. Cheddar biscuit was the highlight of this plate but still so subpar. 4/10 though. Overall, I would not recommend anyone do anything but TRY Waldo's just to have the experience, but it's not necessary. Not really understanding the hype based off this...
Read moreI have been to this location multiple times and I have never had such bad service. We had 3 separate situation with 3 separate employees, all while the manager was standing just over there. We were waiting on one of our plates, the rest of the table had been given their food. There was a random plate sitting on the ledge near our table, my husband noticed it looked like it could be his food. We went out of our way after a few minutes to ask the person assembling the orders and he seemed quite irritated when we asked if it was his…. Though it WAS his. “Yea-.”
Another employee was trying to go around us while we hugged each other hello, and when we didn’t hear his quiet “excuse me” he rolled his eyes, made a huge deal and started huffing and puffing until he could get around us… I have never experienced this...
