This place is a hidden gem in town. Looking at it from the street you wouldn't think the food would be good. However, once inside everything you order is made fresh right when you order it. Had the tamales and they were amazing! If I could I would drive to Victoria to get them all the time if I didn't live 2 hrs away. The sopapillas were amazing as well not greasy or over cooked. The inside is a small cafe atmosphere and they do not serve alcohol. The servers and staff are exceptionally friendly and will take good care of you. Came down to attend the ring ceremony at the University of Houston Victoria. To obtain my college ring and I was happy to find this awesome place to eat. I'm sure all the other items on the menu would be tasty as well. The prices were not expensive and the food was to die for. You must try them when you are in town, do not let the outside of the building fool you. Go Jags!!!

1st time eating here. I ordered the Ranchero beef fajita nachos. I was not really impressed by them. They looked better than they tasted. Maybe I will try the restraunt again and order a staple item like enchiladas. Then I will have a better idea. Until then 3 stars for the food. Service was good and the place was clean, so they have that going.

With the exception of their air conditioner not working and extremely long wait times compared to other restaurants, this restaurant was surprisingly awesome. The other only quirk that I saw was that my table's order did not come out at the same time. Two people received their plates then about five minutes later another two received their plates and then ten minutes later the last two received their plates. The food was delicious! I ordered the chicken tortilla soup and it was flavorful. My son had the kids meal cheese enchiladas and tore it up. He is usually picky about refried beans and these beans seemed to have a little more lard than I am used to but my son ate it no problems. The fajita meat was a bit tough but there were pieces that were also soft. The chicken flautas were crunchy and flavorful. So glad it was equal chicken and tortilla. Overall, I...
