Evans Fire Oven Pizza – This Is How Pizza Should Be Made If you’re looking for real pizza, not that conveyor-belt, doughy football pizza from the national chains, Evans Fire Oven Pizza is where you need to be. This spot knows how to do it right—cracker-thin crust with a great undercarriage, especially when ordered well done. Every pizza is made fresh after you order, and the owners take the time to remember you and your go-to order if you’re a regular. They'll have live music on occasion and check their open hours. The interior is welcoming, and the people running it make the experience even better. It’s a far cry from the mass-produced pizza you’ll find elsewhere. On the Dave Portnoy scale, I’d give it a solid 7.8, considering Portnoy rarely hands out an 8 or higher. To put it in perspective, the big chain pizzas typically land in the 4.3 to 4.6 range just above frozen pizza. Victoria, if you care about quality over quantity, stop settling for that basic conveyor mediocre pizza. Get yourself to Evans Fire Oven Pizza and taste the difference.

My daughter got the meat pizza and ate 3 slices (which I stole 2 slices from) and I got the custom ordered one that I got 3 slices of and shared the rest of both pizzas with coworkers. Loved the flavor, I could have ate more LOL. The crust had great flavor and wasn’t heavy at all. The white sauce on mine was very flavorful too. All in all two thumbs up and can’t wait to eat more.

Truly authentic pizza. We got the hot honey and sausage with jalapeños and it was delicious! I cannot say I’ve had anything like this before and would drive out of my way for it. They also have a “kids do-it yourself” pizza, which was awesome. The place itself was nicely decorated with interesting artwork. Friendly and helpful staff!

Fairly new but been open a bit now so wanted to give it a try. First, it seems they've already outgrown their space which is a good thing. Ordered the meat lovers and added jalapenos and pineapple, had two drinks and the price was $41 with tip so a bit on the pricier side. For me the pizza was good but the crust is a bit too thin and a bit on the bitter side. I would like the option to have a thicker style crust. Also for such a thin crust it seemed a little flimsy and could have been cooked a tad longer with all the toppings. Very few options for seating and parking but I'm sure they were looking for a space that was affordable to start the business. They've now started to add live music which will be interesting as this will almost certainly have to be outdoors and there were only a few tables out...

It is not often I take the time to write restaurant reviews but the experience I had at this restaurant deserved an extra effort as the food I had at this location was exquisite. The skill it takes to balance flavor, texture and experience in the pizza industry is a Sisyphean task that is never quite accomplished and is doomed to be ever repeated. I can say with full confidence that Evan's has come as close as any I have seen to making this trifecta work in perfect harmony. Victoria Tx finally has a great tasting pizza and I will be returning and spreading the word. I highly recommend you stop by and experience one of these incredible pizzas as...
