Floyd's Bar — Restaurant in Victoria

Absolutely the rudest and strangest customer service I have ever experienced! I would give it negative stars if I could! My sister and I were with our Dad and decided to try a late lunch at Floyd’s. He and I are visiting from out of state and had never been there. There were maybe 10 other people there and we were directed to order from the bar outside. It took a while to get the dark-haired, female bartender to notice us. Our dad ordered a beer, and my sister asked if they had fresh brewed iced tea, to which she replied yes, so we both asked for tea andwe ordered some food. We saw her pour the beer from the tap and glasses of something else from a tap that looked very much like beer. When she put them on the counter, I asked if that was iced tea and she said it was “twisted tea”, which apparently is some type of beer/tea combo- which we had never heard of. I told her we wanted regular tea, and she said we should have told her that ..to which my sister replied that she did ask for regular tea. The woman then proceeded to argue angrily and used the F word several times while insisting that we “f-ing ordered” this beer tea! How may I ask, could we have ordered something we had never heard of?? Then she said “ it doesn’t f-ing matter” when we continued to explain what we had actually ordered. What kind of a person speaks like this to a customer? We were completely calm and rational & totally mystified by a person behaving in this manner. Neither of us have ever experienced such strange and irrational behavior before! This woman needs to rethink her life choices if she can’t behave appropriately in that position! I then spoke to a kind, younger male bartender about what had happened and he apologized and refunded what she charged us for the drinks. He went ahead and canceled the food for us when we said we would not be staying. He apologized, & wished our dad a Happy Fathers Day and seemed not to be surprised by her behavior. We put the drinks on the bar and left. I’ll never be back. I have no idea how that woman keeps her job as I have read several reviews mentioning rude service by a female bartender. You just won't find another place like Floyd's. The food will blow your mind and the drinks are great and cheaper than most places around. If you are looking for a relaxed environment with great comfort food this is where you want to be. They have live music and a really great staff. Five stars is not enough for this place.....Just an update to my original post, this is my fifth year of living in Victoria and down the street from Floyd's and I just wanted to say...this place only gets better. If someone said to me "You can only pick one bar/restaurant to exist forever what would it be?" I wouldn't hesitate, the answer would simply be "Floyd's". The day this place closes will be like losing a family member. You'll never find a place or staff like this. It's the most unique place on Earth. It's like having drinks and dinner at home with your friends and family. When I have a rough day at work or life is just getting me down, I come here and the food, drinks, and camaraderie make me feel like everything is just fine in the world....to the staff at Floyd's you truly are the heart and soul...

If I could leave a ZERO star I would. I was drawn to this bar on Friday because of the music. I paid a cover charge and walked into a half empty bar with tables and stools available at the bar. I walked up to the bar and 3 female bartenders were behind the bar dancing with each other and laughing. I am happy they love their job and co workers so much. I continued to stand there for a LONG time in front of a sign on the bar that said Orders only No loitering, and none of them would make eye contact with me. NONE of the other people sitting at the bar needed or wanted a drink. I was the only one. I was never served. I walked away after 10+ minutes and asked the bouncer for my money back. He said NO. I told him what had happened and asked again for my cover back. He said No. I would Never visit this establishment again. I was treated very...
