My daughter and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Butcher's Deli for lunch and we were thoroughly impressed with our experience. The atmosphere exudes a warm, "bodega" or "NYC deli" vibe, offering an exceptional selection of fresh meats, wines, spirits, amazing food and various other items. The staff members were fantastic, displaying genuine warmth and hospitality. It's evident the Butcher's Deli team takes pride in crafting delicious food and ensuring customer satisfaction.
We had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, Brandon, who went out of his way to ensure we were enjoying our meal. This personal touch was truly appreciated and added to the overall positive experience. We opted to dine outside at one of the small tables, but there are also a few tables available indoors.
As a self proclaimed burger connoisseur, I can confidently say the bacon double cheese smash burger I ordered far exceeded expectations. The burgers were absolutely phenomenal, boasting a perfect balance of charred edges, flavors and textures. The buns were fresh, buttered and beautifully grilled with an excellent amount of crunch along the edges. The bacon and American cheese complemented the juicy beef perfectly, creating a truly memorable burger experience! I found myself wanting to immediately order a second burger.
Although I don't typically write reviews, I felt compelled to share my positive experience at Butcher's Deli. This gem in Victoria is definitely worth a visit, especially for burger enthusiasts. The downtown area of Victoria is also flourishing and Butcher’s Deli only adds to the charm of this quaint town in the southwest metro of the Twin Cities.
I highly recommend trying Butcher's Deli's burgers. I guarantee you won't be disappointed! I'm already looking forward to my next visit...
Read moreHad a fascinating meal here a few weeks ago. Our foursome arrived at 730. Our waitress, a sweet gal, was a teenager and trying very hard. Upon our arrival, we ordered coctails and were told it was a busy night so they were out of green olives for the martinis and old fashioned 'stuff'. Proceeded to order the following: a whiskey 7, a whiskey club soda, and two vodka sodas with oranges. Waitress asked what was in a whiskey 7. The four drinks arrived. The whisky 7 was spot on. The whiskey soda was whiskey and tonic, the vodka sodas were also tonics. As passive minnesotans, we let it slide and upon ordering the second round, we were told by the young gal after stressing the use of club soda instead of tonic that they were out of club soda so she substituded tonic... (I'm serious). Anyway, the food ordering was a similar comedy of errors. Food was delicious but arrived after three attempts to complete the order. My wife went up to get waters from the bar after an hour and several requests. As we neared the end of our meal, we ordered one last round. When our ladies ordered their final vodka soda tonic substitutes, the waitress informed us that they were out of orange slices. And I quote, "We actually ran out of orange slices. I mean we have oranges but no slices, should I slice some for you?" I've seen and heard a lot in my life, but mother of God, how some people make it through life is a mystery. We suddenly realized that they probably weren't out of olives, club soda, old fashioned 'stuff' or anything else, she just didn't know how to open jars, bottles or knew what was in an old fashioned. Anyway we tipped her and laughed about the experience the rest of the night. Nice gal, but uffda! Great food! Need a little...
Read moreI ordered an Italian sandwich a side salad. I got a B.L.A.T. (BLT). The bacon was burned to crumbly, the tomato was one micro thin, pale pink slice with no seeds or juice because it was sliced so thin. The bread was nicely toasted. I could not taste the salad because of the burnt bacon taste in my mouth but the apples where 3 half slices made with the same micro slicer as the tomato. A hint to the "chef," if you serve tasteless factory farmed eggs, at least put a little salt and pepper on it. My wife order the cottage pie, The crust was burned on top and soggy on the bottom, filled with mashed potatoes flavored with beef broth. The whole thing gave the impression it was baked, frozen and then microwaved. The waitress never returned so we could inform her we got the wrong meal until we had finished eating. When I returned the sandwich with only two bites eaten and suggested the meal be removed from my bill since it was not what I ordered, they billed me over eight dollars for the side salad I ate. I have never had the combination of bad food and bad service I got here. The atmosphere was attractive...
