Worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. We ordered a carne asada torta and when we arrived home we realized the bread was completely burnt. We opted to call them and explain the situation the girl the phone was extremely rude and advised that there was nothing she could do until her manager/owner came back on Monday. We asked her name in order for us to be able to call back on Monday and speak to whoever was in charge and express that we had spoken to her, she very disrespectfully stated she didn't have to give us her name. I decided to drive back to the restaurant which isn't nearby. Went into the restaurant to show them the burnt food and they said that there was nothing that they could do because the owners were not there. I asked that they call the owners and explain that this is not OK it's not about the money it's about the overall customer service, the disgusting food that they clearly see before them and the disrespect that we experience. At this point it's about the restaurant doing the right thing. What normal/legit company does not have someone in charge to handle these types of situations? Pay one of your employees a dollar or 2 more and have someone in charge, it's ridiculous! We are talking about 8 miserable dollars. It's not like I was requesting for all of my money back, which I should have because the food was not good and I had to drive down there in order to get my money back for the burnt food. I requested that the cashier call the owner and explain the situation and expressed that he was looking right at the food that was burnt as he and another staff member recognized and admitted that the food looked disgusting. They stated they spoke to Adriana which is one of the owners and she said that they couldn't give me my money back and that I have to come back on Monday. No wonder the employees act the way they do, if the owner themselves have this type of customer service, wow!! After alot of fussing at them a lady worker there called the other owner carlos and told him that I had threatened with calling the police and she also sent him a picture of the burnt food and that's when finally they allowed the workrr there to give me my money back. This was after about 20 min of my time wasted there arguing with incompetent people....
Read moreOrder the shrimp taco, chicken street taco, and two strawberry churros through door dash today. Went to bite into my shrimp taco not knowing it wasn’t shrimp. Instead of calling me or my door dasher to let me know they had ran out of shrimp, they decided to just replace the shrimp with some other fish I hadn’t known about. When I called to let the person know she said the only thing I could do was try to get a refund through DoorDash and that they had substituted the shrimp with another fish because they were very busy and that was the only thing they could think of not even letting me know after all what kind of fish it was even substituted with. Even though the lady wasn’t completely rude she could have gone about it a little differently and a little nicer. I let her know that This could have been a serious allergic reaction all because they failed to call and let the customer know about the issue and she seemed to not take me serious as if this happens all the time. I know some may argue that they don’t have the customer’s number or info, but I too work in the food service industry and know the name, as well as the phone number is printed on the receipt and the device the order was placed on under ( tablet, computer, etc.). Besides this, the strawberry churros were very dry and had artificial flavoring paste inside them instead of actual strawberries. The street chicken taco, even though was flavorful, was too very dry and not them best and salsa was very much needed. However, the salsa too was unlike any other salsa I have ever tasted before and not in a good way. Overall I would give them a second try because Saturday nights are usually busy and I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that they food wasn’t at its best because they were busy, not anytime...
Read moreFirst the positive... I love that they are open 24 hours since we are up all night due to our schedules and the drive-thru makes it even easier, that is rare in these parts. Unfortunately, I haven't found their food to be that great. The shredded beef tacos had rubbery shells that were hard to chew and the beef was dry and a little tough. My husband got a quesadilla there, the last time, and it was just thrown together in a big heap of sloppy mess, in the container, and the flavor wasn't that impressive. Since they are near to home and open 24 hours, and they are new, I am hoping they will improve on their food flavor and quality because I would really like to go back.
(UPDATE: 11 months later) I am now updating this review and bumping the star status from 3 stars up to 4. They have definitely improved! The food has gotten better in preparation, presentation and flavor! We have returned many times since my last review and everything has been good! The only problem I can see at this point would be the drive-thru window... it is ridiculously high! It is basically designed for a high, truck/SUV with oversized tires. It isn't going to stop me from going though because I realize the only way to fix this would be major reconstruction of the physical building. It just looks to be an error in design on the builders part. Anyway, just wanted to give an updated review and bump up the...
