When I say that the food we ordered was so good I cried actual tears, I am not being hyperbolic. I cried actual tears. This is a true hidden gem. I cannot recommend it enough!
The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, the service was wonderful. You order at the counter, grab a seat, and the food is brought to you. It wasn't overly crowded (Insane considering how amazing the food was) and there were several size and style tables to choose from. Our cashier was personable, he proudly told us that his father wakes up every morning to make the Portuguese rolls they serve all of their sandwiches on fresh, and it is EVIDENT.
We ordered a club sandwich and a roast beef sandwich. The fresh made roll was soft, flaky, and buttery, but still had a delightful bite that played well with the absolutely beautifully balanced flavors of the entire sandwich. The meat was high quality with a generous portion (the bacon on my Fiancé's club was some of the thickest cut I have ever seen at a restaurant). The tomatoes and lettuce were fresh and the green onion Aioli that was on my sandwich was some of the best I've ever had. The sandwiches were perfectly toasty, and we honestly just kept saying "oh wow, this is the best thing I've ever eaten", over and over again.
The price point is absolutely fair when you consider the quality and portion of the ingredients given, I will happily pay it again and again. We are not Vidalia residents, but we are in town often and will be making a point of eating here regularly. It is clear that this is a restaurant run with a passion and love. Please check them out if you're...
Read moreWe spent SEVENTY DOLLARS on two pizzas and four drinks. The pizza was below our expectations after reading the glowing reviews on here. We ordered a supreme and a Hawaiian. The Hawaiian had almost no sauce, loaded with cheese, MAYBE two chunks of pineapple per slice and SO much oregano. The Supreme didn't seem very supreme. I only saw mushrooms, onions, and pepperoni on our pizza. We came from out of town, and we don't like to eat chain restaurants when we explore new places. I guess everything can't be perfect. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming, I will say.
A couple of things if you're a wheelchair user: The parking lot is gravel, just keep that in mind when you're headed in. The restroom was barely big enough to fit a wheelchair in there and there are...
Read moreVisiting Vidalia from Savannah. Thrilled to find Tappas. The staff was accommodating and super friendly, the restaurant is clean and bright, and the food is much better than average! My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Trio signature sandwich, and I split a house salad and grilled cheese with our adult daughter. Top two best grilled cheese ever tasted. It was a marvel. Decadent, with a cheese pull that will satisfy the biggest critics. Salad was incredibly crisp and fresh; there wasn’t a leaf left on the platter. All in all an A+ experience. We wish there was a spot like this where we live!...
