Additional Update: Was just told by the store manager shelby that the district manger will not be taking our concerns seriously. Not surprised this whole company is unethical! I’m shocked that a district manager wouldn’t even reach out to see the ring camera footage or to at-least tell me personally that they don’t take customer concerns around safety seriously. Returning the merchandise that’s falling apart ASAP! So many other places to rent furniture places in Vidalia to rent from don’t waste your money here.

UPDATE: Not only did rent a center come to home without a phone call to me or husband when we said we’re not going to be home but they tried to open my front door with our permission!!!! scared my babysitter half to death!!!! Will be return what was rented ASAP!!!!! 10/10 do not recommend this store! Try arron’s or buddy’s anywhere but here nothing but headaches

Shelby is the rudest, most unprofessional woman i've ever interacted with! Not only did she not accept the deal that i was given online. After taking a new payment, I was placed on hold and then was told that my payment went through but she could not see it on her end so i had to pay again for a third time. She also told me that my delivery would be delivered on a certain date and on that date i couldn't get a hold of the store, I called shelby personal number that was given to me and was instantly blocked when i tried to figure out when my delivery was coming. $200 worth of groceries went to waste due to my refrigerator not being delivered when i was told it would be. When my refrigerator did arrive, the men putting it in scratch my floor! tried calling shelby to complain but she never returns my calls and i'm always told she is busy. At this point i've had to escalate my issues to the district manager to have any of my issues taken seriously! i've dealt with other rent a center before and never had a problem! The five stars goes towards the delivery driver you guys have. I watched this man deliver a whole living room set while the house owners watched him move a metal couch and and other items not only up stairs but also picked up and moved into the door without touching the door I stopped and talked to him and asked where his help was he told me he was a one man band but it was no problem and also said that he could have me delivered if need be just come by the store and get approved. The young man maintained a smile on his face even as he was sweating from head to tow he did not bat an eye. I assume he doesnt make more then delivery that has 2 or 3 guys usually he was very informative in there products and I also fixed my washer when I got home just because I gave him details on what's wrong with it and was told how to fix it and it worked fine after 2 techs came to my home and said it was not repairable. As long as that man works there I have no doubt that he is a great fit for the company I will definitely invest my time and money if he is the guy they send out to get the job done. I also asked does he get tired of the work he said only thing he would ever get tired of is if a customer is not satisfied . He had all the right answers to say and also a very nice looking man that I feel could be trusted with whatever task he is put up to. We need people like him in every store definitely. And promise they do not make men like him anymore. Please protect this man's job at all cost and after my contract is up with my current provider rentacenter will definitely be my next stop. I just filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, consumer.Georgia.gov, and completed a survey online with RAC corporate detailing how unprofessional and unethical Rent-a-Center in Vidalia is. Shelby is very rude on the phone but ironically texts a little more professionally. She sent her driver to collect our washer today that we’re a few days late on….which wasn’t a problem the last month or several other occasions… and the driver beat on our front door and back door relentlessly and wiggled the back door according to my son. My sons know not to go to the door when we’re not home. This guy kept beating on the door and yelling “Open the door!” using mob tactics and scaring my kids. I assure Shelby and her employees next time any one of them beats on our back door and tries to come in, the police will be called. I strongly urge anyone one struggling financially to pay for appliances just to buy used or try to save to buy new and to NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH RENT-a-CENTER. All these rental places do, especially Shelby and her crew at Rent-a-Center, is prey on poor people and degrade them when they’re even a day late on a payment.
