following up on my review just b/c this clown falsely accused me of creating an account just so i can go out of my way to leave a bad review/slander. yeah, b/c 'Gyros Express' is all i ever think and dream about. first of all, ive had this account for a while now but i dont normally leave reviews. however the experience here was terrible and i felt i should leave one. im sure youre just upset b/c i called you out on the truth (price differences and no gloves while prepping food, at least not mine) and didnt leave your food/restaurant a rosy 5 star experience. it's called a review, not all of it has to be positive dear leader.

prices not reflective of menu as they raised the price of their gyro by $1 and now $13, yet their website says 12. if we wouldve known, we wouldve picked a different place as a $13 gyro is ridiculous for the portion size and an average tasting gyro. however, it was already too late as we only had a limited time for lunch and had to get back to work after. i might as well have eaten the wrapping and napkin too to get my money's worth. i also noticed they dont wear gloves while prepping food, disgusting. maybe i shouldnt complain b/c they might add a glove usage charge in the future as well. talk about price gouging a customer- this is your place if youre a masochist and enjoy losing your hard earned money for...

The food itself was not bad at all, but definitely on the expensive end for the small portions given. I purchased a gyro (for the larger appetite) for about 8.50 before tax, and it was the size of a normal gyro that you can purchase for about 2 bucks cheaper and it would include fries at another restaurant. So it made me wonder what their Junior gyro would look like for 7 bucks rounded with tax! I bought fries and a burger for my son. The burger is really good, but 4 dollars for the fries is a scam. Most of them were over cooked and hard. Both of my kids wouldn't eat them, So it was a waste, Oh well... it is always a hit or miss when it comes to fries at any restaurant. Spinach pie was by far my favorite! Flavorful, and definitely fresh. Fast service, the guy there was a cool young guy who delivered a nice service to me. He was straight forward and honest and I appreciate that. So whoever said he is rude, I think you guys were either having a bad day, or in your feelings lol. I didn't get a negative vibe from him at all. I spent 43 bucks in there to feed my entire house, which I don't mind at all because I can tell how freshly made the food was with fast service, especially being that I was just getting off of work. I'd come back for sure. It's low key, friendly, and...

Have been stopping by to either dine in or carryout out for as long as I can remember while raising our family in Villa Park. Now that have been about 40 minutes west for past 11 years we still find ways to get food from there very often. When our daughters were littles - getting food from ā€œGeorge’sā€ was HIGH on their food preference list. As they are both grown adults raising their families now, our grandchildren now ask for ā€œGeorge’sā€. One of our daughters lives out of state raising her young family so not able to enjoy as much as we do - during the Christmas holidays a couple years ago she asked if our entire family could meet at ā€œGeorge’sā€. We had a wonderful holiday meal together there and felt like we were in George’s home full of Greek hospitality and high quality food. We’ve always felt like family there.

It’s pretty easy to feed a young family of 4 with just the pita plate by adding a couple pitas. The fresh cut fries are absolutely delish too. I personally gravitate to a large salad with chicken - can eat 2 meals from that. Will make sure to get photos of our food next time and update this review as I’m a firm believer in lots of photos.

The quality of the food on their menu is more in line with a nicer Greek restaurant but it’s prepared quickly at...

Ordered original Gyros with fries. Standard toppings are the cucumber sauce, onions and tomatoes. The Gyros was fantastic. Looks like they serve Kronos gyros meat. ā€œWhaddya mean you don’t eat no meat? Ok, we serve lamb.ā€ Anyway, this Gyros reminds me of the days growing up around Belmont and Central, eating at Central Gyros. Those were the days. And now I can have them back for a few minutes each time I eat here. Fries appear to be home made and fresh, which means they can be a little softer than what you might be used to at other fast food restaurants. I love them these fries. The folks working were very friendly and inviting. We even scored some free desert. Of course we ordered 3 x Gyros with fries, so that might be the trick. We live in Michigan now and don’t have access to good Gyros, so we will we coming back to this place when we’re back in western burbs.

I was in the area and gave this place a try based on its reviews. The facilities are just a bit dated and tired but places like this sometimes are a hidden gem. I will say the gyro was a nice size with lots of meat and sauce but they don't give you much veg. The fries were cooked perfectly and hot but they needed salt and pepper. Sadly the prices here are just too high. Looking at Google photos they used to have very reasonable prices but now it's $20 for a gyro and fries, which is very high for the area and the competition is just as good for dramatically less. Also minus a star for the owner's attitude on responses which tell me improvement isn't a concern here.
