Captain Lawrence Barrel House — Restaurant in Village/Town of Mount Kisco

This review is based solely on what it's like to live next to them. They are absolutely obnoxious, having extremely loud live music blasting for hours on weekends. There is no need for that level of amplification in a RESIDENTIAL area. I can't spend time comfortably in my own home even with the windows closed without being disturbed by them. There is no way I would be allowed to blast music at even HALF the volume Captain Lawrence gets away with in my backyard, but they get a free pass and it's not right. They have been told so many times how disruptive they are but they keep doing it year after year (I've lived here for 4 years). And when there isn't extremely loud music playing, there are kids screaming, which they don't try to control at all. They have absolutely no respect for their neighbors and truly don't care about how they're affecting people...

I have been a patron of Captain Lawrence for nearly a decade since I moved to the area. I have always been greeted with kindness and respect. I was finally able to come to the ant. Kiddo location and I was not disappointed. The beer selection was amazing as always. They even have cocktails and sangria. The food was sooo good. A complete step above bar food. It was a dining experience. My friend wanted to try the corn bread, that wasn’t on the menu as an individual item, and they were so accommodating. I do NOT like corn bread and this one was delicious!! A true testament to the chef’s skills!! He cannot be matched! The food is amazing and so full of flavor! Please come visit this brew house! I came here Saturday for the first time for drinks and food post-hike, and the new Captain Lawrence location did not disappoint! We sat outside and ate and drank for several hours, and everything was on-point. Excellent service from our server, Emily, as well as the other employees who helped us. As the weather cooled off into the evening, they brought out heat lamps for each table, which was awesome. I can't drink beer, but the cider and rose are both great and my friend definitely enjoyed his various beers. BBQ was surprisingly delish as well with the brisket being my favorite. They also had some live music going throughout the afternoon. Awesome way to spend a spring day, and a great addition to the area....
