Oh my Gosh. I had been in bed sick for 7 straight days with a virus. For some reason I woke up I woke up Sunday about noon and was absolutely starving!! I had Not been to McDonald's in ages but was absolutely craving a hamburger and fast. I drove myself there because I hadn't had an appetite in days and so excited about wanting to eat just something! Living only a couple minutes away it seemed like a good idea. Got to the order window, and immediately asked for a McChicken, 2 cheeseburgers for my fiancée, a large fry and 1 hamburger. I asked this...for the hamburger, can I please have no onions because I do not like onions and can I please have ketchup, mustard, tomato and lettuce? I could immediately tell the girl did not understand. I asked her to repeat the order. She said... 1 McChicken, 1 large fry, 2 cheeseburgers and 1 hamburger with onions. OH MY GOSH! I said no please and repeated, 1 hamburger, with NO ONION. Ketchup, mustard, tomato and lettuce. She once again repeated the wrong hamburger order incorrectly! I said, can you please go get someone else that can help me? She didn't seem to understand. I repeated it for a third time very clearly and asked her to repeat back. It sounded correct. I thanked her and pulled forward. I paid. Went INSIDE to make sure it was correct. I quickly opened the bag and read the label on the hamburger that read no onion, EXTRA mustard *which i never said extra mustard, ketchup, tomato and lettuce. I was shaking i was was so hungry. By the way I also asked twice to make sure the fries were hot and asked, PLEASE. Got home, handed my fiancée his 2 cheeseburgers, opened my hamburger to see that it had NO LETTUCE! AND I REALIZED THEY CHAGED ME FOR THE McCHICKEN, BUT DIDN'T GET IT AND HAD MILDLY COOL FRIES. I immediately drove back inhaling the fries because I'm now shaking I'm so hungry and asked for the manager at the window. I was told the manager could not come. Long story short, took me 3 more tries of explaining the stupid hamburger that I wanted for them to get it right and it was finally handed to me and they apologized and asked me to check it. It was correct but then almost drove off because they still forgot the chicken sandwich!!! Never, ever again!! Never PLEASE FET SOMEONE WHO CARES AND CAN...
Read moreI gave this McDonald's a bad review two months ago because the service was horrendous. I went back there today and was shocked by the change. The service was fast, my food was fresh, they didn't mess up my order, and the staff were very friendly.
This was actually my first time being in the driver's seat while going through a drive through, and I'm anxious around new people so I was worried. My mom wanted me to be the one doing the talking since I needed the experience. The employee who gave me my food made these worries go away.
I had to wait about one or two minutes, he asked me how I was doing but it didn't seem like it was just a formality, it was like he actually wanted to know. Maybe he could see my anxiety or he was like that with everyone, I can't say for sure. Anyway, he was a really positive guy. He almost spilled some hot tea on himself, I told him getting burned is bad for your health and then he told me a little about how he spilled coffee on his hand and had to go to the hospital. Just that short one or two minute exchange meant a lot to me because I'm only just now learning to drive and this is my first time being the one driving in a drive through.
If that guy is reading this, you know who you are, I have a little bit to say to you. I was pretty filled with anxiety and your positivity caught me off guard at first but overall I really enjoyed that short exchange. Thank you for a good experience. It was small, but I think this will contribute a little to helping me break out of my shell.
It would be wrong of me to give anything less...
Read moreI am amazed that the Germantown McDonald's is still in business. They have no concept of customer service. Beyond that, there is no display of professionalism. If you do not have passion, purpose and pride in what you do then find something else to do. But coming to work miserable is infectious and before you know it everyone is miserable. It took 20 minutes to get our order filled and to aid thw experience the order was wrong. Then the crew started to argue that I made the mistake and the issue was not theirs. Are you kidding me? I politely showed them that cheeseburger 1 of my two cheeseburger meal had the special order ticket showing no pickles yet cheeseburger 2 had no ticket and was made with pickles. I explained it was not my mistake and someone just grabbed the wrong sandwich. This was not acceptable to the staff and they proceeded to tell me that if I did not make a mistake that the cashier must have made the error. At this time the cashier joined the conversation and yelled to the others the "she knows how to take an order and don't make no mistakes" which was rebutted with "girl ain't nobody perfect and and you sure as hell ain't all that". Yes, this left me speechless and almost willing to just take my mismatched burgers. I will skip my lunch any day of the week before heading back to the...
