On a Monday afternoon, my girlfriend and I stopped there for a beer and wanted to ask some questions, as we were planning a wedding party for about 150 people. As we were looking around, I noticed who I knew to be the owner talking with someone. I walked up and was going to wait for a break in their conversation to see if she could answer a few questions. As rudely as someone could, and without hardly looking at me, said, "I am not talking to you. I am not working now, go ask the bartender." I was so taken aback by her rudeness, I simply turned around and told my girlfriend we could check them off our list. But I decided to stop and ask the bartenders, who although were very nice and professional, said they couldn't answer our questions and actually pointed us in the direction where the owner was. At that point the other owner/husband was standing there. We approached him and asked if we could ask a few questions. He was very pleasant and helpful and gave us some useful information. But as we left, I had such a bad taste in my mouth from her rudeness, there was no way we could consider having our event there. And it's actually sad, because I have always liked the beer and we have stopped at their new location about once a month or so for the past few months. It's a very nice venue. Their homemade pizzas are delicious. I don't think I have ever said or done anything to her, to make her react to me that way. I don't think she even knows who I am, even though we are occasionally there with friends that know her. And our sons did go to school and play football together. I even coached her son in Jr high and thought that I always got along with him. I have a hard time believing that any employer would want their employees to be that rude to a customer. Let alone an owner. Afraid I don't foresee ever going to...
Read moreDrove over an hour to get here on a Thursday to have lunch and some beers. Doors were locked and the lights were off 90 minutes after they were scheduled to be open. Called again an hour later after having lunch elsewhere and there was no answer. Very disappointed as I love their beers I get through distribution and was hoping to bring home some sours that I can’t get locally.
Edit: Did I go in the right doors? Feels like you're gaslighting me here. I walked in, saw the lovely little Norse cafe to my left and your colorful mural on my right. Walked straight and saw the brewing supply store and attempted to open the door to the tasting room adjacent to it; that was locked. I then walked out of there, turned to the right, walked back and tried to open the other door to the tasting room which was also locked. I saw that the lights were off and there was definitely no one in there. I knocked at the door and called with no answer. This was all just after 12:30pm Central time Thu Nov 3.
I poked my head into the brewing supply store on my way out and the man at the front desk was on the phone and didn't acknowledge me. I figured he wasn't associated with you since he saw me try to get in the door earlier without success and didn't react so I didn't stick around...
Read moreTerrible. Go to Luckes in Plover or District 1 in Point—much more accepting and better atmospheres. Also, I never leave reviews, but I feel I need to on this one. A few friends and I came here with our kids around 3pm on a Thursday. It was not busy (maybe 6-10 people at the bar). We got a drink and headed over to sit on couches by what appeared to be kids activities (Jenga, arcade games, large connect 4, etc). Our kids did need a reminder to not be on the stage, but were behaving playing games, and most definitely were not loud. No one was near us either. After about 20 minutes a lady came out to tell us that she was getting complaints in her office that our kids were being too loud. Literally in shock I asked if she could explain what constitutes “loud”. She shrugged her shoulders and walked away from us. Even when asked again, she just kept walking. Highly unprofessional, and most definitely not welcome. If you don’t want kids there that’s fine, but what is the point in having kids activities then? Never will go back (even without children). Again, head to Luckes in Plover or District 1 in point for a much better atmosphere (and drinks in...
