So we did not dine inside when we went here, because of the Mask policy and their social distancing policy. None of the other patrons were wearing masks and their tables are not separate for social distancing, so we did not feel comfortable dining in. I posted a picture of their sign which clearly states that they're not going to wear a mask. Covid procedure aside, the food was decent. I tried the fried chicken and the tuna melt. I learned from the staff that the Fried Chicken comes pre-packaged, they don't bread it in fry it in-house. However, it was pretty good quality and the outside was really crunchy wich is nice for fried chicken. I only wish it came with a dipping sauce like ranch or barbecue because it was kind of plain Jane you know? The tuna melt was good, but it was at a tuna melt. The food was good, but it wasn't just spectacular. In my opinion they have so many things on the menu it's hard to make their food really shine. If they cut their menu down they could focus more on specific dishes and perfecting them, I've seen it happen before in places that offered to wide of menu options. In order to keep up with such a huge menu they have to buy so many things and their quality drops. If they would cut the menu down they can focus on the dishes they have left and really making them shine. All in all, the building was nice, the atmosphere seems lovely too, and the food was mediocre.

We have been to the sawmill several times for breakfast and lunch. This was our first time for a Friday fish fry and old fashions. Always wonderful service and great food in a “Wisconsin log cabin supper club” atmosphere. The sawmill is a great choice. Service was wonderful and personable as you expect in Wisconsin. The fish we chose was the breaded cod. Some of us had the potato pancakes and some had the fries. The fish was lightly breaded and cooked perfectly. For those of us who had the potato pancakes - they were only like warm. Good enough to not send back. But not hot like it was just out of the pan. We all liked the coleslaw as well. The deserts were great and we particularly liked the cherry pie, but also enjoyed the peanut butter and the apple pie as well. For me personally - I am not a fan of their tartare sauce (served with the fish). Also don’t like being charged $0.75 for extra tartare (someone had at the table). But that’s a personal thing. So no points off for that. A couple of us found their dining chairs a bit uncomfortable. Not conducive to sitting a while as we had dessert and coffee. Our butts and back started to ache. Overall the sawmill is a solid restaurant where you can have a great meal and a great time. Recommended.

Havnt been there in awhile. Nice up dates. Not run down and smelly. Actually reminds me of they 1st opened.Outdoor patio was open. We took my mom out for brunch. Our waiter came out and was great. Young man was prompt on everything we asked.Bartenders were ok but we only had cokes.lol. Mom ordered fried chix. 4 pieces coleslaw and fries. My son ordered chix stew with biscuits had slight prob ,no chix in stew but ok.Young man went back and brought us the chix. Way to many cocktail pearl onion. Found out their food truck was late.So they threw them in. Anyone who knows about pearl onions should have to eat them.eat a whole bottle then we will talk.I also had the fried chix.Reminds me of old times going out to Quilted Bear in G-Town. Manager gave my son really nice piece of cheesecake and also took my son's order off the bill. Thank you to the staff. Was warm and inviting.Oops sry forgot order the chili was like mom's. Thank you 4 putting the USA flag on the pics site.💕

We had an outing with our car club. We decided to eat at this restaurant as it was close to the auto museum we wanted to see. The atmosphere was very nice and something I would search out but that is where it ended. We had Brenda as our waitress which was the first of many things that went wrong. When she would approach the table she would bellow, and I do mean bellow loudly, "Hello, Hello. I can't take your order if you are talking." This happened every time she approached. I heard her say in a quieter voice that we were rude and she did not have time to wait for us to finish a sentence as she had many customers. The food took forever to get there and it was cold when it arrived. Oh, and a bonus on it was that many of us had the wrong order. Not just the wrong plate in front of the wrong person but food was brought to our table that nobody ordered. She tried to charge me for a meat lovers omelet when I ended up getting a ham and cheese omelet. I asked her about the bill and she said that they were about the same price so not to worry about it. It was a $2 difference. Finally she gave me $2 out of her tip money (Who the hell would tip this woman????) and tossed a small banana bread to me telling me this will make up for the poor experience we had. I wrote the manager on his email and informed him about all of this. I asked him to talk to Brenda and get back to me. He never did. This is why I am leaving this review here. I am assuming he gets lots of bad reviews about her and the food. The only ones on his testimonial are ones he most likely writes himself. I told him I did not want to be reimbursed and I did not want anything but a reply. He could care less. In my business I go with the theory that it takes 10 years to build a reputation and 10 seconds to ruin it. I think this is an overrated and very poor restaurant and people who say they like it caught them on a good night or are fictitious. There were very few people in the restaurant the late morning we were there. I would avoid this place like the plaque. I will NEVER go back. And if you are still reading and were wondering how I can remember the waitresses name, it was that bad and rude. Absolutely the worst service I have EVER had and that is why I will always remember it. I wish I could give them a...

We had reservations for Mother's Day brunch, arrived 5 minutes before our time - was told it would be at least a 30 minute wait. For the second year in a row, they had overbooked on this day. Ok, wait the 30 minutes go back to the hostess counter and was informed that they called my name and texted me (which they did NEITHER) and since "I" missed it I would have to go back on the waiting list. I was beyond furious and asked to speak to the manager of which they could not locate. I didn't move from the front counter and was asked to step aside so they could take more reservations, I again said I want to see the manager! Finally, one of the wait staff says she's the assistant manager and asks how she can 'help' me. I explain how the rude hostess said I am to go back on the waiting list when my family and I have been waiting for our reservation for 45 minutes - she immediately seats us! Natalia was her name and she was beyond pleasant and overly helpful! She apologized up and down, took our drink order and promptly took our food order and was very attentive to our table during the rest of our stay with the help of Tessa. Those two ladies totally turned our visit around. I did tell them I still wanted to talk to the owner, of which never came to our table. We had 11:45 reservations, by the time we were done with our meal it was after 1:30 and the place was dead. Two of the wait staff were having a conversation and the owner walks up, snaps at them "enough talking, more working" which I thought was unnecessary. The entire time we were there every one of the staff (with the exception of the hostess at the front counter) was working their tails off. I appreciate the hard work of Natalia and Tessa, however, we will never be back. The owner of the Sawmill has lost a customer with my family and extended family because of his lack of leadership (overbooking two years in a row, treatment of his staff and for being a coward by not coming to our table like requested) .... it's a shame, always thought they had...

The food was very good but the service was horrendous. My wife and I each ordered the Millie's Melt and asked for Mayo for the burger and Ketchup for the fries at the time of order. The food was dropped off by a server that was different than the one that took our order. She dropped the food at the table and turned around without a word and we were not given Ketchup or mayo, waited a few minutes when our server finally came out of the back and went to take a order from another table. As she finished up with the order she took, we let her know we were missing the condiments and she apologized and said she would get them right away. She then went in the back and came out with the drinks for the other table but still no mayo or Ketchup and she then disappeared to the back again...at this point we started to eat our meals so they wouldn't be completely cold and discovered one of the melts was missing the sauteed onions and mushrooms which is part of the dish. So, I then went to the desk/cashier and advised we were basically getting ignored and needed service. The hostess did go back and advise the waitress yet again. We ended up getting the mayo and Ketchup and a bowl with the sauteed Mushrooms and onions after I was 3 quarters of the way through the meal and also didn't get a refill on our drinks until we were finished. I advised the cashier of our displeasure as we paid the bill and instead of bringing over a manager she just said sorry and that she hoped they would do better if we ever came back. Obviously, we...
