Badger Burger Company Richfield — Restaurant in Village of Richfield

I don’t ever write google reviews, however something needed to be said about the service my mom and I received tonight. We showed up, it was a little busy but not overly busy. There were only 2 people waiting in front of us. The first red flag was when we arrived the waitress told us to go over to the hostess stand and check ourselves in by writing our names on a piece of paper. We shrugged it off, as it looked like there were only 2 waitresses working. We then went to the bar and ordered drinks, the bartender who originally helped us was attentive and quick and got us our drinks right away. The waitress who told us to check in ourselves then went through the list and called names to be seated and we were seated. The second red flag was that after being seated we sat at our table for over 20 minutes waiting to order, and were not acknowledged after being seated. The waitress that sat us then seated a 6 top and took their order instantly. She also Checked up on all of the tables surrounding us. The second waitress also walked right past us. I would be more understanding if we were acknowledged by either of them but we were not. We then decided to leave and go elsewhere after about 25 minutes of waiting. The third red flag is that when we went to pay for our drinks at the bar, the bartender made eye contact with us multiple times, never said anything and failed to come over to our side of the bar. It was not the initial bartender who gave us our drinks. We waited an additional 5 minutes to pay for our drinks before we threw money on the bar and left. I understand being busy and short staffed but if you don’t have the skills to multitask and be attentive of your guests then you should not be working somewhere where those skills are required. Visited on a Thursday evening, not terribly busy. Finally got my drink well after my food, only for it to be wrong. I ordered the Betty Boop, which according to the menu is Three Olives Marilyn vodka, pineapple juice, white soda and a splash of grenadine. What I got had milk in it and smelled like a White Russian. Waitress came back and told me the bartender said she followed the recipe, so would I like something else. Maybe she followed a recipe from google and not the restaurant menu?? I ordered a different drink, which didn’t come until 15 minutes after we finished eating. I was ready to go at that point. We were there almost 2 hours! The wait for drinks was entirely too long. Drinks should definitely come before the food, and if messed up, should be corrected right away. The bartenders and waitstaff need to step up their game or this restaurant is not going to make it. Waitress never came back to see if we needed anything. I also ordered food to go for my husband - a bacon cheeseburger. When I got home it had no bacon. I don’t think we will be back. Devine was our server and her attention to detail was amazing! From the time we walked in until we left, she never let our needs down! We were a party of three and ordered a grilled cheese with fries and pickle spears,2 Cobb salads 1 with blue cheese dressing the other with avocado. We were the first customers of the day and our food came out quickly. Devine came back to see if everything was good and noticed my daughter dipping her sandwich in the pickle juice and asked if she wanted a condiment cup of pickle juice for dipping! Our salads and sandwich were all delicious. There was a steady flow of customers into the dining area as well as sitting at the bar. The Bloody Mary’s looked like mini meals served in hurricane glasses. There was a mixture of young families and couples within the cozy restaurant. Definitely looks like a fun place to watch the Packers or any sporting event! There is limited street parking in front of the building and plenty parking in back lot.
