We had our wedding here on 8/19/23 and we got so many compliments on the venue - everyone loved it!! The venue comfortably sat 206 guests for dinner. I love the "garage door" at the back of the venue that opens in their outdoor section - everyone flowed in and out but still felt like part of the party. We seriously had such a great time! The day-of staff members, Tonya and Noelle, were the best people I worked with at the venue. Both of them were super helpful, supportive, and kind, throughout the whole night.
The reason I am giving 4 stars is because some challenges I experienced in working with the event manager and owner. I have gone back and forth on whether or not I should mention something publicly - this review is simply my own personal thoughts and feelings based on what I experienced.
The owner stated from the get-go that she would work around my schedule to come in and sign the contract. However, it was the other way around (which is fine!) when I continued to get reasons as to why this day and that time wouldn't work. I would have preferred if she provided me a few options instead of the back and forth.
At our 6 month meeting, I became uneasy when discussing the availability of staff on rehearsal day. The current event manager was brand new at the time of our meeting and perhaps she was unaware of how she stated things. I asked if there was someone who could walk us through the order of ceremony. She said "IF there is someone available, they would be able to help." I did not feel good about that uncertainty and after this meeting, I hired a day-of coordinator. She provided me all of the help I needed.
Scheduling rehearsal was another hiccup I experienced. Once we were two weeks out from the wedding, I had a hard time getting a day and time that worked for me and my wedding party. When I signed the contract, I was under the impression that Saturday weddings had rehearsal on Thursday. However, I was told to pick Wednesday evening, Thursday or Friday morning. After some more back and forth, I was told I could come in after someone else's rehearsal on Thursday evening, before their own event. Overall, we got it to work.
At our final meeting two weeks before the wedding, we met with the event manager again. She was helpful and straight forward but also very firm on things like seating chart and not removing any décor on a small table I wanted to use for a memorial table (it had 3 small baskets we could not move). I think the contract does state that you are not allowed to move any of their décor (which is fine but keep that in mind if you have a different vision - even if it is something small).
After this meeting, the manager stated she would not be available the week of my wedding (also fine) but she did not share any names or contact info for the person who would be working on my day. It left me feeling like I was just a number but she did reassure me that I would be in good hands - and I was.
Day of wedding, the owner was at the venue. I said hi to her as she passed me and she said hi back. This was the very first time in almost 2 years of signing the contract that I "met" her. She said hi to me and that was it. No "welcome, how are you, congratulations" - nothing. I thought that was a little odd especially considering the amount of time and money we put into renting their venue for the day.
As I mentioned, these are just my honest thoughts and feelings. I would still recommend this venue as it is so beautiful but I would share caution with some of the things I mentioned. Weddings are a lot of money and every single one of my other vendors made me feel as though anything was possible...
Read moreAlthough this venue has a gorgeous interior, I would not recommend hiring them for your wedding. I wish I hadn't. Here is why. First off, they double booked the day of our rehearsal, causing one of us to only have access to the interior and the other, the exterior only. In addition to us, they booked ANOTHER last minute event, forcing us to only be able to decorate certain parts of the hall the day before our ceremony/reception and to leave hours earlier than we originally booked. Second, they told us on the day we signed the contract that we would be able to swap out the decor. We asked specifically about the flowers and pillows. On the day of the wedding, they said we were no longer allowed to. The flowers look terrible and definitely took away from the beauty and theme that would have been. Not to mention, all the money we spent on said flowers and pillows to not even be able to use them. Third, they charge the same amount for their bar packages per person, regardless of age. I have several nieces and nephews, all under the age of 15. The idea of paying $30+ each for them to drink 2 kiddie cocktails is absurd to me. They also raised the prices of the bar package from the time we signed the contract to our wedding day. There is a loophole in their contract, stating they can raise any prices at any time, without notice. So, we had no choice but to pay it. Finally, we are craft beer lovers, so we ordered kegs from their list of available beers from local breweries. Apparently, their lines could not handle the sour beer we ordered so they were not able to pour 90% of it and did not give us any discount, even though our guests were not able to drink it. The beauty of this venue did not make up for all the issues and prices we...
Read moreTerrace 167 was the perfect venue for our wedding, offering exactly the rustic and industrial vibe we were looking for. While we came across several venues during our search, none compared to the charm and beauty of Terrace 167. The moment we discovered it, we knew it was the one. The venue is already so beautifully decorated that minimal additional décor is needed, which was a huge plus for us.
Despite booking the venue via FaceTime since we were out of state, we were blown away when we saw it in person. The indoor reception space and stunning outdoor ceremony area exceeded all our expectations. The staff, including Rachel, Stephanie, Noelle, and Terry, were incredibly helpful, kind, and professional from start to finish. They made sure every detail was perfect and accommodated our every need, making the day flow smoothly.
From the stylish bridal and groom suites where we got ready, to the breathtaking outdoor ceremony and the amazing reception area, everything was just as we had envisioned. The caterer recommended by the venue was top-notch, and having the option to open the garage doors in the evening while enjoying the fire tables added a special touch.
Our wedding day was flawless, and we would choose Terrace 167 again in a heartbeat. A huge thank you to the entire team for making our day truly unforgettable. This venue and its staff are phenomenal!
