Brewster Restaurant — Restaurant in Vineland

I have been to this restaurant many times before this and the food was always so good and the staff was always so nice. However the last 3 times I have gone my order is always messed up and the staff is incredibly rude. Today I walked in to pick up an order and I could see they were busy so I stood by the register PATIENTLY waiting while on my phone. Some random guy gets my attention and tell me three times very rudely that I need to wait, I never asked how long it was going to take I never even looked his way until he got my attention. After this him and 3 other staff members asked me for the name of my order I told all three of them they looked at my order then walked away and let it sit on the counter for 7 minutes before someone gave me my food. When this older lady gave me my food I asked if I could speak to the manager regarding the disrespect from the staff and she very rudely said “i’m not getting my manager for that whatever you need to complain about you can say to me” so all I said was that it was incredibly rude for 4 different people to ask for the name of my order look at my food then walk away. She proceeded to say well we have VIPs in here today and they’re way more important than you. Coming from someone who works in food service regardless if someone is a VIP or not the whole purpose is to give them a good experience. I said this to her and she continued to say well that’s not how it works here and if that hurts your feelings than your welcome to walk away. At this point I just wanted the food and to leave so I paid and when looking at the receipt I saw that she wrote down my order incorrectly so my order was wrong and I asked for it to be fixed and she said “no i’m not fixing it you can eat it as is or throw it away”. The food is always good but the morning weekday service, not so much. After our last experience we will not be returning. The waitress on the morning of 6/19/25 was the absolute worst waitress we have ever had. This is not the first time we have had an issue with her but this was the last straw. It was not very busy when we sat down. The waitress took forever to even acknowledge we were there. She was too busy shooting the breeze with another table. She finally came over and took our drink order. Instead of filling the drinks she went back to shooting the breeze. The owner had to come over with our placemats and silverware and take our drink order again. After getting our drinks we have another long wait before we finally place our order. When our food comes she does not bring my toast. I can’t eat over easy eggs without toast. She says she will go get my toast. She then takes the order of the customers behind us. I wait patiently figuring she is going to get my toast. Nope, she clears a table and then starts filling drinks for other customers. I then had to ask for my toast again while my food is getting cold. I was told very rudely “I’m getting it”. A few minutes later the owner brought my toast out. I sent my plate back and shared my wife’s and sister-in-law’s breakfast. When we were done we had to stand at the register and wait for our check because our waitress would not even look our way. If they were busy I could understand the delay but not when there are only 3 other tables in use. They really should find a better morning waitress before they lose more customers like they...

We wanted to try somewhere we’d never been , looked online and found Brewster Restaurant. We arrived, walked in and stood at the front waiting to be seated. One of the waitstaff saw us from across the room and made no move to acknowledge. Finally, I asked if we were supposed to seat ourselves and he said yes (how were we supposed to know with no sign saying it and no one telling us?) We sat down and noticed other staff looking awkwardly at us, very odd energy. I don’t do awkward in a place that’s serving food so we politely got up and headed back out. We won’t try a 2nd time. We then went to another restaurant not far from Brewster and were treated the way customers should be treated. A disappointing experience...
