McDonaldâs restaurants, in my experience, tend to be one of two extremes:
Wow! This is a really nice McDonaldâs
Letâs see....yep....screwed up my order once again: small fries instead of large; Sprite instead of Coke; Iâm pretty sure my burger âmooed,â and it only took half an hour to put it all together.
This McDonaldâs, Iâm happy to report, falls into the #1 category. Itâs very nice. Before I moved to Vinita, OK, I used to go to McDonaldâs, MAYBE, two or three times a year. But the Vinita McDonaldâs is run by a great crew, and quality of the of the food is fantastic.
Iâve lived in Vinita, about 3 years, and visited this McDonaldâs enough times that I couldnât even give you ballpark estimated how many times Iâve eaten there over the course of three years.
Even after eating there many times, I have ALWAYS been served fresh, hot fries; had staff members be courteous, and show interest in what I thought about the food and service.
I do have one tiny critique. This critique in no way changes my opinion about the quality of the food, and the kind staff, as it is simply not something that annoys me. So, I stand by my 5 star rating. But, I know that, to many people, this critique is EXTREMELY relevant.
Theyâre a bit slow. Itâs nothing outrageous. Iâve never waited an hour for my food. Nothing like that. But, receiving order does seem to take a bit longer than is typical. Usually, the staff arenât slammed, yet orders do take longer than typical, even when they arenât that busy. I sincerely like the staff, and they work hard. Iâve never seen them horsing around, slacking off, nothing of the sort. The staff are great...good people.
So, Iâm not sure why service is a bit slow. But, trust me: this is one of the best McDonalds Iâve ever visited.
And, donât avoid dining there because they are a bit slow....the service is, maybe, a few extra minutes than us typical.
I highly recommend the...
Read moreVinita McDonald's is by far the worst McDonald's I have ever been to!!! If I could give this place -âs, I absolutely would. I'm used to checking my order every time to make sure the food is right, but that is the least of my problems with this particular McDonald's. I ordered a sweet iced tea and two sausage mcmuffins with egg. They didn't give me a straw for my drink, but I would have been okay if it was just that. But, instead of that being the only issue, it was unfortunately the best problem of this particular visit. While eating the first sausage mcmuffin, I ended up biting into a fairly decent size piece of egg shell which was surprising because I didn't know they used actual eggs until that happened. Then I go to take a drink of my tea and realize that not only is it NOT sweet, but it was incredibly old which is crazy considering I placed my order in the morning so it should have been fresh. I then call them to see if I can switch out my tea, switch out my breakfast sandwich to one a little less crunchy and get a straw only to be met with a manager that was flat out rude from the moment I started talking to them. They told me I could come get a straw and that I could also get a different tea but that it would probably still not be what I wanted because apparently "they use the tea until it is gone before they make anymore fresh tea." They even admitted that it was probably made the night before and refused to make fresh tea for me. I was also told that because I told her that I had eaten just shy of half the sandwich before it turned crunchy that they would NOT replace a half eaten sandwich. Keep in mind, I was on the phone so they only knew how much was gone because I told them. So I then asked if I could just come get the money back for the tea and the other sandwich that had not been touched and was told NO as well....so, it's safe to say, I will NOT be returning to Vinita...
Read moreI arrived at the drive thru at 7:48 pm on 6-2-24. There were only 2 cars in front of me. It was 8 minutes before the first car moved away from the speaker. Meanwhile, the car behind me got tired of waiting and backed up so they could park to go inside to order. The second car sat at the speaker for 5 min before anyone took their order. When I finally got to the speaker I was told "just a minute" after I had been sitting there for over 3 minutes waiting to place my order. They finally took my order at 8:05, but due to the 17 minute wait I decided not to get fries because I had no clue how much longer I would have to wait in line and I didn't want to pay for cold fries. I did ask for an apple and strawberry pie and was told it would be a 12 minute wait if I wanted apple. Obviously I declined. As I pulled around the building to the window I noticed there were no cars in line, or parked waiting for food, which is when I realized why the wait was so long. They are completing each car's order from start to finish before taking the next car's order to keep their drive-through times down. I was told how much my order was, I paid for my order, and when I received my order at 8:09 they opened the window, handed me the bag, and shut the window. Didn't even get a "thank you" or "sorry for your wait." At the Vinita location, the drive thru is ridiculously slow, the fries are never hot, and the food is usually cooked in old oil. I thought I'd give them one last try tonight after the last time I went through the drive thru when I repeated my order 3 times to them, was asked to repeat it again, drove around to give it at the window, and was told they couldn't take an order at the window so I opted to eat elsewhere that night. Also, if you can't place an order at the window, what do they do for people with communication difficulties? Do they refuse to take...
