Use these guys if you want your computer to end up more broken than it started. This is going to be lengthy, but... My son's laptop had a faulty data cable between the motherboard and monitor. Simple fix, or it should be anyway. We get it back, they've replaced the screen (that cable generally comes attached to the screen when you order a replacement screen). But wait, there's more! The housing is cracked at the Ethernet port, the charging port is broken, and the laptop is smoking. First, the Ethernet port. A crack two inches long that starts in the bottom middle of the port. They said there was an impact mark at the other end of the crack. There was a slight discoloration, like where a sticker had been, that's it. But, there is a screw that is to be removed that is very close to the Ethernet port for when you remove the plastic housing. I'm not a betting man, but I'd bet that they missed that screw when taking the back off, pried too hard and cracked the housing, because that's exactly what it looks like. Not even sure how they broke the charging port, but that leads into the fact the laptop is now smoking. This, according to them, is due to using an aftermarket universal adapter cord for charging. They apparently don't know how cords with interchangeable tips work, or how charging works on a laptop. The different tips regulate the output, and as long as the battery is plugged in, without getting too technical, it also helps regulate the voltage. But wait! When I talk to them the second time, it provides inadequate voltage. How in adequate voltage leads to smoking is anyone's guess. Oh, and they couldn't replace the charging port because it requires soldering. Huh? What kind of computer repair place can't do basic electrical soldering? If I know all this stuff, why didn't I just fix it myself? I didn't have the time to do it really. While a relatively easy fix, taking apart a laptop takes awhile. But you can be sure that I will make the time from now on, and never, EVER, let these people even look at anything electronic of mine ever again. I only give one star because it won't let me post with zero stars. Don't let these guys touch your stuff. They know just enough to be dangerous. I'd sooner take my stuff to...
