Romeo's Pizza — Restaurant in Violet Township

I ordered online with a 3 dollar off coupon. Got a medium pizza and some wings. When I went to pick it up, they said they put the wrong toppings on and had to remake it. The girl said 6 minutes and it should be ready. That’s fine I said. I waited in their tiny little shop with no seating mind you. The last place they had was huge with lots of seating. This place has absolutely nothing. Terrible. But I waited and then she says it’s messed up again bc it was on top and stuck to another pizza. They ruined 2 pizzas and at that point I couldn’t wait any longer. I take care of my mother and she is on a schedule. The lady that works there says I can get a refund on the pizza. So I just paid for wings. She says I can pay $6 and then changes her mind, no it’s $1. She didn’t really know what was going on it seemed. I just said whatever I gotta go so you can work on that refund. I got the wings home and they weren’t right either. I asked for sauce on the side and they halfway put the sauce on them and also had sauce on the side. They were in there messing around bc I saw them horse playing. I’ve had problems in the past with this place. They have messed up my pizza so bad at times, that I couldn’t eat it. Doesn’t look like any kind of supervision is going on in there so the workers do what they want. The people prepping the pizzas aren’t wearing gloves and who knows if their hands are even clean. Just not getting good vibes...

I stopped ordering a few years ago after the health dept found a dough fly infestation, but I love the pizza and after a few years thought they should have it under control. Recently the problem is just a terrible ordering system. I’ve used the text to order and it’s really cool — if all you want is a cheese pizza, because my last 3 orders have been wrong. One night they brought me THREE pizzas because they kept delivering cheese to me in error. Tonight it happened again. I called the store to let them know and the girl (who later said she’s the manager) told her “my screen says you ordered a cheese pizza” but MINE says I didn’t. She was not willing to get me my pizza earlier than another HOUR and wouldn’t give me her name or the owner’s name. I did find out that this person will be in on Friday, so I guess I call then. I’ve been kind and patient because I know stores are short staffed. I just am appalled at the way she handled this problem that keeps happening to me. My receipt clearly says pepperoni. Wonderful pizza, it’s always hot and fresh when I come to pick up and is always ready by the specified timeframe (20 minutes if ordering ASAP) and sometimes is even done earlier.

Sometimes the pizza can get really greasy and get all over the box making a mess but it has been a rare occasion for me. The Capone sauce makes up for it though; it is a flavorful and unique spicy sauce that any spice-tolerant person would enjoy.

The people in there are always nice, they welcome me in and assist me promptly. It also seems like their teamwork and morale is high as I always notice the workers laughing and working well together.

The app is pretty barebones but it gets the job done. I prefer ordering on there so I can receive rewards points because I don’t think you can in the web browser version. My only complaint is I wish the rewards system was fleshed out a bit more. Every 100 points ($100) you get a $10 off coupon for your next order. It’s nice but I wish there were more options for redeeming.
