Iggles Cheesesteaks & Burgers — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

Gave this place two chances in one month but got the same results last year, went again the other day but just walked out because nothing has changed. The cheesesteak is one of the worst sandwiches I've ever had. Too little meat, too little cheese, too much bread. On top of that, kept getting some hard pieces every other bite, I think it's small bone? They look like fingernails so I'm pretty sure they're small shaved bones. Very unappetizing and they're hard enough to damage a tooth! The meat lacked seasoning for sure, very bland even with onions and mushroom, almost tasteless. To top it all off, the mushrooms looked like they just came out of a can without touching the grill, very confusing and kind of disgusting. The place itself smells and not in a good seasoning way, it just looks like it could use a good cleaning, so eating inside is a definite no for me which should've been my clue to just turn around and leave. No fountain drinks, plastic bottles in a barely cool fridge, which will ruin the best of sandwiches. Customer service is not terrible but it's not great...

Iggles was a senior year staple for me....now that I am back in the area I just had to return. The food is a home run. There's lots of flavor with their generous portion sizes and plenty of variety to customize your philly how you like. The gentleman working the front counter today was phenomenal. He was patient with each and every customer while providing suggestions to make each meal perfect. While ordering, I had briefly mentioned the other half of my footlong would be for my lunch break. When handing me my order, he told me he wrapped each half separately. His kindness and consideration really made my day. I highly recommend this "Philly and Burger Joint" to anyone who loves cheesesteaks and burgers while also receiving top tier customer service. If you experience the same service, don't forget to bring cash for tip! Their system does not allow for credit card adjustments for tips so they can only accept cash but they are SO worth...

Why would anyone purchase food that is not Cooked to your request? Me. I needed to eat so I allowed Iggies to cook cheeseburger 'their way'. Wrong. Barely edible! I was faint from hun- ger and could not finish the food. Horrible!!! Wouldn't feed it to my dog! This piece of meat was so thin, it just needed to be quickly dropped on grill (if your meat is bad you try to hide what your serving), what I was served today was burned and hard. Not good! Ordered fries w/ grilled onions and cheese. Well...way too much tasteless cheese and no grilled onions. Some unidentifiable meat...? Just gross. Charged over $16 bucks...slop! Bun was too big for small piece of meat and ( what?) no ice for beverage!
