Who: The customers who would enjoy this restaurant the most are the customers who do not enjoy authentic Filipino food. While their food tastes decent they have non-traditional flavors and very non-authentic type dishes. Customers who are looking for a different type of Filipino food this is for you however, if you are looking for home made mom-and-pop type Filipino flavor this will not be for you. While flavors and entree choices are unique how far from True Filipino food Delicacies and more so Americanized ingredients.
What: This Filipino is a very non-traditional type of Filipino restaurant. While they offer food choices that are indifferent the offer very few traditional type of food. The prices of this restaurant are absurd for the amount of food that you get. 4 pieces of lumpia for nearly $5 to $6 is Bonkers. This is not a cheap place to eat if you're looking for an affordable lunch or dinner. For me hate lumpia and one taco cost me about $27. While the customer service is friendly the food service is very slow.
Where: This business is located on North Lynnhaven Parkway in Virginia Beach, VA. It is part of a shopping center therefore it can be a bit difficult to find.
When: This restaurant is open on typical business hours Tuesday through Saturday
Why: You should go here if you're looking for different type of Filipino food. Different as in non-traditional. If you're looking for the classic traditional food with classic flavors then this is not the place for you.
Summary: As a Google Local Guide, I'd invest your money, time, and hunger in something else. There are multiple other Filipino restaurants that offer true authentic flavors and true authentic Filipino Delicacies with bigger options in Virginia Beach and Norfolk. Interior of this location is nice and clean however very limited. Parking is tight as it shares parking spots with...
Read moreHubby and I was looking for a nice Filipino dish when we arrived in Virginia Beach for a weekend getaway. We found this place and it looked descent and clean. I saw a Caucasian lady working and didn't see anyone that is Filipina looking 😁 and I asked her if this a Filipino restaurant and she chimed, yes it is! She added that she is married to a Filipino gentleman and that the cook is her son and menu is going to be fusion Filipino dish. Meaning they made modifications on the menu. We ordered classic lumpia, pancit with extra shrimp and some fusion lumpia and spent about $65.00 dollars. We sat in the car to wait for our food and about 15 minutes later the owner came outside with our food (that was very kind of her). When we arrived at our hotel, we didn't waste our time, started eating and loved the classic lumpia, it was good. However, was disappointed on the pancit, it didn't have much veggies, it was okay, then tasted the fusion lumpias but just didn't have that ump taste. Later that night both hubby and I started not feeling good and had some Tummy issues. Was it because of the food we ate? I hope not! All in all, I love the customer service they have provided, but would we go back ? Probably not, we would pass...
Read moreWow! We were in Virginia Beach for my nephew's wedding and had lunch at Lumpia & Co....and we are so glad we did!! I am normally not a fan of ordering at the register and then sitting down for them to bring the order to me but it works here. And it's not a problem because they are so doggone nice anyway. It's a true mom and pop family owned and ran business. And every one of them made us feel they were happy to serve us. And the food....WOW!! I already like lumpia but I have never had lumpia that I enjoyed close to how much I enjoyed these. And this being a fusion type restaurant I can only say that Zack (the general manager and son of the owner) is a genius when it comes to marrying Philippine and American flavors in the lumpia. The classic...philly steak & cheese...buffalo...monte cristo...etc. And the new bacon Gouda Burger is crazy good. For dessert lumpia pns that they have is the banana bomber and it definitely is the bomb!! There are other things on the menu such as panzit but we stuck to the lumpia. If I could give more stars I would… this is a great restaurant with awesome food and wonderful people. I only hope that 1 day they will open one in Florida where my...
