Twisted Sisters Cupcakes — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

BRIDES BE WARNED: Atrocious Experience with the Owner: We used Twisted Sisters Cupcakes for our wedding at Norfolk Botanical Gardens last year. The experience that leaves me to review one star, and a heartfelt warning is the way that the owner treated us after the money changed hands. As part of their paid services, they left a cake stand at the venue to display our assortment; with a hefty deposit in the event that it was damaged or not returned. After the wedding, my maid of honor was delayed in returning the stand, and my husband and I returned from our honeymoon to see that the owner had written to us, threatening to take legal action against us if her "Stolen" stand was not returned. You can imagine our shock as we read this! Not only was she in violation of her own contract by this threat, but she was not giving us the meager benefit of the doubt that we hadn't "Stolen" it but were simply delayed in its return. She ended up keeping our deposit even after the cake stand was returned to her. I will never recommend this establishment, due to the true stress, and fear of being sued they caused us less than one week from our wedding, as well as the inhumane way in which we were treated after we had already paid for...

Ive been to this store numerous times and always felt welcome but today I will say different. I walked in and said good afternoon to the associate at the counter she ignored me ok fine whatever. I told her what I wanted to purchase and it appear that it was a bother. Upon retrieving my item two white females entered the store they didnt say anything but she sure did said good afternoon how can I help you to both and started helping them. While all this is going on I'm still at the counter trying to inquiry about another cake that was thinking about buying. I never seen the cake before so i was trying to find out the flavor of cake and icing. I guess the associate got tired of me standing in front of the register and that's when I was able to get her attention. I was finally able to ask about the flavor of the cake and she answered but when I asked about the flavor of the icing she brushed me off again. At that point I'm like forget this I'm not welcome here so I took my cake I purchased and left. I honestly dont know if I will ever go back there which is sad. My family really enjoys their vanilla bean cake and it's a nice little treat but I will not spend money where I'm not welcome...

Let me start out by saying i have had thier cup caked in the past and they are great. However i recently purchased the 6 inch grab n go red velvet cake and it was horrible. Not only did it not taste fresh it did not taste anything like red velvet. It was dry an tasted like purely over steetened butter cream. Both me and my two daughters had a piece of the cake and we all ended up with stomache achea. I did try and call and complain to see if I could exchange the cake for something else or get a refund. I offered to bring the cake in to show them it was barely eated. I was told they would not take the cake back and they do not offer refunds. I tried to explain how horrible the cake was and i was told the cakes arenallowed to be up to three days old and that a rad velvet cake is just a chocolate cake with dye i feel the customer service was terrible and the way the situation was handle will cause me never to return here again for...
