A warm welcome to this new vietnamese business! Excited to see a banh mi shop in VB area. Even more excited to see they make their banh mi (the bread) in house. From the look of it I knew the banh mi would be the perfect texture -- crispy outer layer and airy center. I got the banh mi dac biet (special combo), the sign said it has red pork meat, roll pork, roast pork, pate, house-made mayo, and house-made sauce. Review is meant to be constructive and honest, so I hope this business takes it into consideration because I do want to see them successful.

Bread: amazing! Crispy shell and airy on the inside, you can tell by how light the banh mi is.

Fillings: lacking, I didn't get the roast pork in mine. I got cha lua (pork roll) and another type of pork roll kind of peppery, and thit nguoi (red cured cold cut) a.k.a red pork meat. Only one long strip of thit nguoi and mostly cha lua. I'm not expecting every banh mi shop to serve the same fillings, but I do want a combination of different meat in there because that's what it is. Pate was lacking too, and I didn't taste the mayo? The sauce was good and definitely needed since there wasn't enough meat to make up the flavor.

Veggies (do chua): they pack it individually per banh mi if you request it to be packed separately. I always do this because you don't want your banh mi to get soggy. I'm used to banh mi shops giving you one big bag to distribute, but this is a nice gesture to give us individual baggies.

Customer service: the guy at the front was great.

I'll support them still and will try other banh mi, and I hope and pray for ca phe sua da (viet coffee) to be...

I absolutely love their boba tea! It doesn’t compare to any boba I have ever had. I love the fact that you can customize your bubble tea with almond milk, coconut milk and soy milk. You can also determine how sweet you want your bubble tea! From 25%-100% sweetness! It’s great having that option in case I don’t want too much sugar! I ALWAYS get extra boba in mine! Their boba has the perfect consistency; not too hard and not too soft... JUST RIGHT! I have since moved away from VB and every time I’m in town, I come to Swirlys to get my boba tea fix! BEST BOBA TEA IN VB!! Anyone who says otherwise doesn’t know...

The best Banh Mi’s in town!! I’m originally from NoVA, and they have so many Banh Mi shops. There’s only a select few that I will go to because they know how to make it. After moving here, I couldn’t find any Banh Mi shops, most were sold at Pho places and those aren’t on the same level. After finding this place on fb, I had to try it and it was DELICIOUS!! And they had my favorite cut of meat! Pork Belly (thit do)!! The bread was so warm and fresh, and so were the veggies! I was hesitant on an $8 Banh Mi but you can’t beat it any place else. Will be...

Been a while since last visit.. daughter has been craving froyo and this is her top spot for it.. actually got the banh Mis this time around too since I've been meaning to try it.. got the classic cold cut combo and the roasted pork belly.. Kim's Banh Mi has the lightest bread of all the banh mi I've tried.. which I find unique and better.. the customizations that are available are awesome as well.. I ordered through the kiosk inside the store.. Will definitely come back and try the other style banh mi!!
