Robin Simmons Bakery — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

I contacted them to cater for a large corporate event i was hosting at my company in May 2025. I purchased roughly 150 scones, 50 muffins, and some vegan quickbread. All the food was a huge hit and our employees loved it - they were all talking about how good it was and i got positive compliments on it throughout the day and people asking me where I ordered from and where they were located. I will definitely utilize them again for future events. Also, the service leading up to and through the event was excellent. Zoe always responded promptly and pleasantly which gave me confidence in their ability to deliver a good product in the time I needed - which was key for me because the event was early morning. The vegan option I ordered was also a hit, and while I only have about 5 vegan employees, all of it (about 15-20 servings), were gone by the end of the hour, so non-vegans were eating it, which says a lot about the taste/quality. Glad I selected this bakery and will certainly keep it on my short list...

Ok so coffee is great and cute location but my god the cakes I swear Robin must have made a deal with the devil. The first time I was here I was having the worst day and I stopped in to try to get some coffee and a snack and clear my head. From the first bite of cake I no longer cared about my terrible day I was in a moment of pure bliss. These might be the best cakes I have ever had and I do not say that lightly. Omgggg where do I begin. The caramel apple cake was unbelievably good, with little bits of apple peels in it oh yummm… best key lime pie I’ve ever tasted too! And the lemon meringue mini pie is in a league of its own.

It’d be a good idea to put price labels in the cases. Instead, there’s a menu flat on the counter at the register and it only says slices “start at $x.xx”, so I found out from my receipt that a slice of some flavors costs time-and-a-half what the least does.
