This beautiful City View park is located at 2703 kempsvile road near centerville turnpike Virginia Beach Virginia 23464 and it’s total area is 43 acres. There are four lighted softball fields and are available for rental use only, multipurpose fields, walking trails, picnic shelters with charcoal grills, playground, basketball courts, very nice public restrooms, vending machines, lots of space for children to play. I sometimes go there for walk and today went early there it quiet peaceful mind relaxing atmosphere, better place for meditation early in the morning when I went today there it was quiet just couple of people came with their dogs. Nice place for family walking and picnic party, very nice clean parking lot and safe place.

First time coming to this park today & brought my 5 & 3 y/o with my dogs. It was nice to walk around until we got to these puddles on the walkway. I walked carefully through the first one thinking it would just be that one until I turned the corner and saw another one which was much deeper. Drainage seems to be a big issue here so I can’t recommend coming here to walk after rain. A couple things I noticed on the playground were loose parts on the swings which made my son feel uncomfortable when swinging and part of the spongey turf material was broken off which may be a tripping hazard for littles. Just heads up for anyone wanting to bring kids :)

This is a really nice park. It’s not super big but there are some nice walking trails. There are two different playgrounds at opposite ends of the park. There is also a bathroom that’s open during the week and not just for baseball games. Some of the trail is shaded which is really nice when it’s very hot. There is a volley ball net and when no one is there, my kids enjoy playing in the sand. There’s also many places to eat and a shaded picnic area.

City View Park is located along Kempsville Rd. and is not too far from the Chesapeake city line. The park is fairly easy to get in and out of since there is a traffic light at one of the entrances. There is an ample amount of parking available, but could get tight if there were games or tournaments being held there. The park was very clean and well maintained.

My most recent visit to this park was on May 13, 2018. My seven year old niece was with me and wanted to go to a park, so we decided to come to this park, though it had been a while since I had been there. The first spot we ended up was at the main playground at the eastern side of the park. She was quick to play with the stuff on the playground, but after a while, she wasn't as engaged. The playground wasn't overly big, and seemed to be a bit too small for her now. Since there was a second playground, we went over there to check the other one out at the western side of the park, but that was was even smaller and seemed to be for an even younger audience. After visiting for a while, we decided to visit another park, which we did.

Aside from the playground, there are other things available at the park. There are several basketball courts, shelters with charcoal grills, a volleyball court, a main building with vending and restrooms, many fields for sports tournaments, and a very nice walking trail (which can also be used on bikes as well).

Overall, this is a very nice park. However, if you have older children that want to play at a playground, you may want to look for a different location instead. Otherwise, there is quite a bit to do here. If you have some younger kids that want to play at a playground, or want to walk a nice easy trail, this is definitely a good place to do it. This park is definitely worth visiting if your travels take...

Great Park! Fun playground. Niiiiice field. I'm a tually about to take my two younger ones there for a nerf battle. They love the playground there. I'm sure we will end up there. They are only going to want to play until they get hit with one of those green nerf balls too close. You lay out the rules but you know kids. Geneva convention rules apply here and violaters are court-martialed, and if convicted, they are punished severely with a nerf firing squad after a brief candy cig (disclaimer: nerf as in the soft toy ammo / not real / pretend and you should know what a candy cig is if you were born before 2000 it's candy in the shape of a cigarette- it's not real). Anyways it's a great Park and if you see a little green ball whiz by I'm so sorry because we wouldn't do...
