Things just arenโt the same since new management. The interior of this place has completely changed and looks plain and not cozy (i.e., the decorations, plates). I have been thinking the quality of the food has gone down and thought it was just me. But I have read other reviews that say the same thing.
Last time I ordered online from their website, I paid and got the email confirmation. I went to go pick it up and they said my order never went through. So I waited and the I'm guessing assistant manager kept asking to see my order confirmation and even wanted to take my phone to the back to show the others. I let him, but I do think it's bit ridiculous. He kept telling me they never got the order. In the end they decided to just make my food and give it to me.
Today, I placed an order from DoorDash to pick it up. When I picked it up, the server who handed it to me was nice. But then a man, who I'm guess is the owner or manager asked me if I was the person who placed the order. I told him I was and he asked me if I can not order through DoorDash anymore and instead call or place the order online (there is an "ordering fee" when ordering through those options, if anyone is wondering). He said it's because DoorDash takes too much of a portion out of their sale so they basically make nothing off the orders. He said this to me as 3 other servers and the assistant manager (which I mentioned previously) were looking at me as this conversation was happening. Of course I felt awkward, and it's not like the owner/manager said it nicely, so I just said "yeah" to get myself out of there. I just think that was unprofessional and rude? I don't know.
Also, the white sauce is inconsistent and is thinned out most days.
I used to love 3 Amigos but I'm really debating about coming back with how things have been since this...
ย ย ย Read moreMy to go order of nachos was completely soggy inedible. They layered the chips on the bottom of the togo container then poured the hot cheese all over the top. By the time I got home it was so soggy it was like soup. The manager was very helpful offered me a meal free of charge on my next order. She assured me that was not the way they package to go meals there. Considering I am new to the area and this restaurant is very convenient as far as location I decided to go back the following week. I ordered nachos again explaining the situation from my previous visit to the hostess. She was going to have them put the chips on the side fir ne which would work. Again they were layered exactly the same way I eas handed the container and told that this is the way the cooks make it. So rather than take them home I left them there explaining that I am sure that if I was eating here they would be absolutely fine, however I want to take them home and they are packaged so that they are no longer edible by the time get home. And apparently that was ok because they let me leave with nothing. If it was my restaurant I would have made my cooks make the meal as the customers requested it. Put the chips on the side then...no problem and i most likely would have eaten there once a week for the next year or so. Possibly even bringing my kids and grandkids in peroodically. I'm now looking for another mexican restaurant in my area to get my to go...
