Would have rated higher but it is not nice when a restaurant says it's open until 8pm and they seemed close at 7:50, with the hostess having her scarf, hat and jacket on ready to go! I called at 7:10pm to order wings and asked how many minutes before the order is ready and they told me 20 minutes. I arrived just in the parking lot at 7:45pm and the lights are dimmed as if they're closed. I then parked the car to use my phone in bewilderment as to what went wrong. There's this voicemail waiting for me where they indicated they were closing and that voicemail was at 7:30pm! So I immediately called them back, with 10 minutes before advertised closed time. I told them I was in the parking lot so they said they'll wait. They showed me the fries and the wings in the carry out boxes. Quite frankly, looking at how little the amount of fries were, I swear they probably thought I wasn't coming , maybe started to dig into them??? Quite the possibility! And the fries were on the more than delectable yellowish hue, they were about to be burned if not rescued from the fryer in a second or two! The only saving grace were the wings. When you go to restaurant for a sit-down, you consider the entire experience - the lighting, the service, etc. When you order to go, you have to consider advertised closed times- they can't just randomly decide to close earlier; especially when we have driven quite a distance. The wings were pretty good. I got the garlic parmesean and it was delicious and they were piping hot. But I have to give overall 3 stars for the following reasons. We tried calling our order in and the phone was never answered. We tried calling again 10 minutes later, no answer. So we went in and ordered instead. We had to wait a while, even though there wasn't a bunch of people inside. When we finally get to order the woman didn't make eye contact and was ignoring us when she was taking our order. She was waving outside but we didn't know why. The whole interaction was rude. We paid and then waited 35 minutes for our food. And gave us our food while another couple was attempting to order. If she would say please wait a moment or something, I felt bad for interrupting the other customers while we were being shown our food. Their wings are good but they don't do boneless wings that well. There is no quantity listed just that they cost 10.99. And it ended up not being a lot of food. Been ordering here for a year. Such big meaty wings. Consistent goodness. Wings are on the pricey side, but are so so so worth it. Sauce on or off options are good (I always get the sauce on the side to keep left overs fresh ajd so I can use it for fries!). I live down the road from the place and call my orders in and they are always accurate with how long it will take. Their containers for mid to large size orders are actually decently sturdy disposable baking trays which I have used to make lasagna at later times.... A real hidden value. Staff is so friendly there and make sure you see your food and are happy before you leave. I have witnessed how much their business has grown over the past year and they deserve it.
