Had my first meal here yesterday and will definitely not be my last. I'm on keto and had a bowl, owner did a great job putting together a mix of flavors for me. It was a bit too much for me because my meals are reduced but it was great. When I have a keto cheat day coming back for the horchata. I'll probably opt for the half-acado with his 9 hour slow cooked steak to top it. I forgot what he called it but it's goooood. I don't eat fast food at all so I either fast or eat something great quality that tastes very organic and made with love. Energy is equally as important to me as everything else and the owner has great energy and infuses that into the atmosphere and the food. Can't beat people with great energy. It makes it so people feel as equally good a couple hours after eating as during the meal. This place is a hidden little gem that should not be overlooked and its owner is a diamond. Pass up the fast food places directly on 36 St and go to this little place instead. I had a hunger headache yesterday, been awhile since having one and needed good stuff to make it stop. This place zapped it away. This is like a Mexican Fusion place, meaning he has a bunch of extra ingredients to add in so it can fit just about anyone's preference. You can literally have a salad etc etc, his options are endless. If you like things spicy there's fresh slices of jalapeños ready. There's mixed greens for salad and cilantro available. Recommend the Chipotle sauce too. Even though I'm not vegan he does accommodate vegan and I'm sure anything else he's capable of, he'd rather see his customers satisfied which is not the standard for Miami. I've been to lots of places unwilling to make the slightest changes. My favorite places are the ones like this, willing to do backflips. Good place to take a group of friends or business colleagues, really...
Read moreLet me preface this by saying I am not someone who is picky about the taste of foods, I love eating... that's it. But even I can appreciate when something is truly different.
The moment I came in, I was welcomed by warm and sweet staff that really seemed to care about what they did.
Of course, thus is a place to eat, not to meet people so it all comes down to the food at the end of the day, and.... WOW!!! I ordered one of each taco they had, with one of each sauces they had. One after the other, I was met with a different but equally perfect mix of meat and cheese.
The sauces too were fantastic, I made sure to eat every taco with a bite of every sauce to get the complete experience at this location. The three sauces were all everything I had hoped for. But the pineapple, oh! The pineapple sauce was an unexpected surprise pairing that made every taco feel fresh. After eating the taco I downed the small cup of that sweet tropical goodness and felt no remorse.
Even from the counter you could see all the fresh ingredients they use for the preparation of their dish.
I truly feel this restaurant should be prescribed as an antidepressant.
I could not thank everyone that made my food before leaving so this is my way of thanking you 100/10...
Read moreThe lower score is due to the high prices for the amount of food you get, plus a confusing menu. The staff barely knows any English, so it's hard to figure out what you're getting, and what kind of sauces they have, as the names aren't self-explanatory. A taco platter with 4 tacos is $13.99, but if you want beef for the meat, that costs extra, and if you want certain cheese or certain sauces, that's extra. Since lots of stuff isn't included, the price keeps going higher. I figured I couldn't eat 4 tacos, because I envisioned normal-sized tacos, so I ordered 3. When the order was ready, I saw I got no rice and beans. For 3 tiny tacos, it was $9.99, and add to that the upcharge because I asked for beef instead of chicken. So needless to say, I left hungry. My husband had his extra taco plus rice and beans, so he left just a little hungry. I'll post a picture of the fork next to his tortilla so you can see how tiny it is. The food had great flavor, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is cool, but after paying over $30 for those 2 tiny meals (not including any drinks), we...
