Overall, the pizza was delicious but only warm (not hot) when it arrived via delivery to Fort Belvoir. Delivery was estimated for 637pm (ordered at 552 pm) and received just after 650pm ($2.99 delivery fee). Total cost delivered with a small pizza and dessert was $29.07 (which is pretty expensive for one person and a small pizza even if you excluded the tip included in total it was still $24.43). The driver was very friendly and communicate well. The pizza is pretty standard, good ratio of sauce, cheese, and toppings on a nice dough. For this, I ordered small cheese pizza with black olives, green olives, peperoni, and sausage. The sausage was small slices of Italian sausage and very tasty. I didn't get the green olives I ordered, instead receiving diced green bell peppers. The toppings were $1.50 each. I also ordered 2 packets of parmesan (50 cents each) and 1 packet of crushed red pepper (25 cents each). I didn't receive the red pepper instead just getting parmesan. The parmesan was ok, but being in box on top pizza led to them being greasy and the cheese not coming out easily. For the dessert, I ordered a slice of tiramisu ($4.99). It was ok, but it was still half frozen even with delivery. It also was just two layers of a plain cake and not the actual lady fingers/custard advertised. All said, the service was decent and the website was easy to use to order. However, based on overall quality of food and cost I'm not sure I'd recommend them if other pizza...
Read moreI called to place an order for delivery, the woman barely spoke English, I asked if there was anyone else I could speak to after trying to get her to understand my address four times. I was told no, there was no one else. If you're going to be answering the phone and taking orders, please speak English well enough to be understood, and to comprehend what your customers are saying.... I had to repeat the address to her 5 times and she still didn't get it. Cinderbed Rd. It took over an hour to get my order, and then the delivery driver had to call me three times to ask what the address was. I finally sent him a screenshot and then the Google link as to where I was. No I did not leave a tip because when you're quoted a half an hour for delivery and it takes over an hour and your food is no longer hot it does not deserve a tip. Then after the driver left he called me being a smartass saying thanks for the no tip. You're damn right you didn't get a tip, it's not hard to comprehend an address in your delivery area.
EDIT: after seeing my review, the owner personally called me and asked me what happened. I explained to him everything that happened, not only did he have the food remade... But then he delivered it personally...
Read moreI ordered the Aroma and the Meatlover's pizzas with a side of mozzarella sticks for a Wednesday dinner around 7 pm online. Delivery was fast. Once I received a text informing me that the pizza was en route, it arrived within 10 mins, I swear.
Both pizzas were so delectable that we ordered again the following evening. The crust is soft and light. Eating 4 slices feels like you are eating three. Eating three feels like eating two. The cheese has that deep, rich, baked taste that you might associate with a Chicagi style pizza. You can really see thr cooked, bubbling, cheese on my pics.
In general, my slices were bending downwards but the cheese was not sliding off. So, you can fold them at the crust to point and they were delicious. The sauce leans on the more traditional side of a good pasta sauce more so than the sweet Papa John's or mildly bitter Dominoes.
This locale has quickly slid into my number one pizza...
