Ginger Beef Chinese Food — Restaurant in Virginia

I ordered a lo mein combo meat meal for lunch number 71 with no mushrooms (allergic). When I received it, there were mushrooms. I selected off of the regular menu for a reason bc I wanted all noodles. They took it upon themselves to give me lunch combination special anyways minus the soda with rice mixed into my food which I didn't want. So when I called the manager she was belligerent on the phone and would not send anyone back out to pick up the order that they did wrong. If I can give them zero stars I would... Unbelievably rude manager constantly placing blame on the customer. This veteran doesn't approve of this place. I took the food back to get my money back after work and she continued to say we ordered it with mushrooms. I had to ask several times to please just give me my money back, I am done talking about this. In leaving I stated that I will no longer be giving them my business. Quickly she says, "we don't like to go out to Fort Belvoir anyway, so yeah don't call anymore and order"... Who says that? Please Don't waste your money on this business, if you can call it that. They have horrible customer service. This place use to be better and especially customer service(the food is subpar). So we have ordered a few times from them hoping it will be better than the last. The food here is good and all but the delivery sometimes take a really long time they say it would arrive within 40-45 mins but it took about 1 hour and 20 mins well i can't blame them because i don't know if they are busy or not but most likely they are lets face it i am not the only one that orders here their might have been 3-4 phone calls before mine plus i think they only have one driver to deliver all our foods must be hard to do so since they deliver to lorton, some parts of alexandria, fortbelvor (in the base) other then that i think the food here taste great i only with that the lady will be honest and just say we are busy the order will most likely take about and hour and couple mins. Dont let the negative comments control what you want to try try it yourself and determen if you like it or not dont just read a comment that is rated one star and skip out on it. order something and try it we all have different presences to what we like to eat. and if they do mix up your order remember we are only humans they will also make a mistake if it starts to get to busy in...

Ginger Beef doesn't really have an eating area, so it's difficult to judge the atmosphere. I'd argue that this location is for carry out and delivery only...and that's OK. I've ordered here three times and have had a quality experience all three times...thick chunks of white, hot food, abundant wonton in your soup order, and friendly service. I've ordered the almond chicken twice and find they use a modest amount of sauce and breading. You won't find yourself with huge mystery chunks of fried MSG or dry stalks of pulled meat. Again, this location is primarily a kitchen and pick up in the tradition of what you'll find in the city, corner carry outs. I've been disappointed that they have not had any half and half during my visits, so that's a goal that would help this location soar to higher levels.
