Really disappointing experience. First off, they had no water bottles for sale and no fountain water — nothing. My kids were thirsty, so I tried filling their bottles from the soda machine. The water came out milky-looking, which seemed weird. I tasted it and it was definitely not right. When I asked, they casually said, “Oh yeah, that’s not drinking water.” There was no sign anywhere indicating that it wasn’t safe to drink — meaning people could’ve been unknowingly consuming non-potable water. I mentioned this to them, and to their credit, they put up a sign before I left. But that absolutely should have been there already. Then I asked if there was anywhere to get water, and they pointed to a fridge… which was also out of bottled water. Eventually someone came back and admitted they were completely out. So they had zero safe water options for customers. To be clear, this isn’t just a bad experience — it could be a violation of Virginia health regulations. Restaurants are required to provide safe, potable water to customers. If the water isn’t safe to drink, it has to be clearly labeled as non-potable, and they’re supposed to offer an alternative (like bottled water) if there’s a water issue. None of that happened here. On top of all this, I ordered the “white Cheesesteak” and it was a joke — barely any meat, mostly bread and cheese. Definitely not worth the price. Here’s a photo so you can see for yourself.

Badd Pizza is phenomenal!!! The pizza is out of this world. It has a nice crispy crust with a chewy inside. The sauce is great and the cheese is bubbly and melty. Whatever you do Get the pepperoni's as a topping. They are cupped and charred and add a crispy crunch to each bite. We got a meat lovers and a white pizza, both of which were amazing. But the unsung hero was the BBQ Pit Wings. It should not be a surprise because Badd is buffalo style pizza and wings. We got a side of medium sauce to drizzle on top. They came out perfectly crispy. Perhaps the best wings I have ever had. It is a bit pricey for wings and pizza but it was delicious! The dining room is a bit plain and echoey but it is fine. The restaurant is located in a strip center so parking is fine. There is a gym next door so it may be hard to find a close spot depending on when you go. The food is great and worth a trip!

First time here and let me just say—this place did not come to play. I ordered the pepperoni pizza, and wow… it came out so hot I’m pretty sure it was forged in Mount Doom. The pepperonis were glistening like tiny edible jewels, and yes, I absolutely burned the roof of my mouth because I have the self-control of a raccoon at a cookout. Worth it? Absolutely. The flavor was fantastic—perfectly balanced sauce, crispy crust, cheesy goodness. A true pizza masterpiece. The gentleman who served us was super friendly, too. I didn’t try anything else on the menu, so I can’t comment on those, but if they’re anything like that pizza, I might have to work my way through the whole menu one slice at a time. 10/10, would risk mouth burns again.

baddpizza is currently in a “soft opening” phase so not everything is up and running. I will review the the stuff that I can and highlight the stuff that is not but sounds like it is coming.

Let’s start with the pizza. The pizza is described as Buffalo, NY style, which essentially means that there is no rolled crust around the edges. The sauce and toppings go side-to-side. I suppose it is a preference, I generally like to have that little bit of crust to mop any sauce/cheese/toppings that happen to fall off my slice. Don’t get me wrong it certainly does not detract from the pizza. The other quality that is part of the Buffalo style is the crust.

The crust is definitely sturdy and can stand up to the toppings. I think it is definitely one of the strong parts of the pizza: tasty but not fried like typical pan crusts. It also reheats well. While not nearly as thick as a typical Sicilian pizza it is far thicker than a Neapolitan. It definitely tastes quality.

Another component of the Buffalo style is a slightly sweet sauce. Initially I was a bit apprehensive about this but it was really good. Also, if you want to crank up the heat a bit just sprinkle some crushed red pepper on it.

I judge all pizzas by simple pepperoni or cheese. In this case I went with the cup-and-char pepperoni. The pepperoni diameter is slightly smaller than is typical, but when baked it cups and the outer edges get a little char to them. You can definitely taste the quality.

The cheese is solid. I could not tell if it was a blend but it was not the typical fresh mozzarella on a Neopolitan. It is definitely flavorful and didn’t seem to have any unnatural elasticity (stretches but not crazy gooey).

The price is a bit on the high side but you definitely can tell that they use quality ingredients and you do get A LOT of pie for your dollar.

So let’s move on to the wings…

FABULOUS. Fried to perfection, good sized, flavorful sauce, but not over sauced. I went with the traditional medium. It was just enough to get my head sweating but I definitely was licking my fingers after each one.

They do have another variation that I tried on a whim - pit wings. Essentially they are fried sauced and finished on the grill. I really liked them (and they taste good cold as leftovers).

They also do tenders and chicken bites.

The menu indicated that they intend to offer subs at some point. Talking to the manager/owner they also plan to add delivery. They had just started on-line ordering.

They do have a dining room but it is not table service. You basically get your food (as if it were to be carried out), plates, and cups for the soda fountain (serves Coke products).

Summary:

Pro’’s: hearty, flavorful, high-quality pizza Cup and char pepperoni Wings Quality Quantity (18” pizza is a BIG pizza) Clean

Cons: bit pricey but I think it is a good value for the quality of the pie and how big it is

Coming soon…. Delivery Subs Loyalty program??

Misc Tips:

Most folks should know this now - best reheated in a covered frying pan over medium heat for 3-5 minutes. This pizza...

Buffalo Native here & I grew up on Buffalo wings, pizza & chicken finger subs. We ordered today for the first time (Buffalo vs. Cardinals game) Here is my very honest review: Pizza logs: Good flavor, but dry on the ends & could be a little bigger. Cheese Pizza: Sauce is sweet & very much like Buffalo sauce. The pizza could have more of a crust and I would prefer it thicker. Cheese was good. Wings: I ordered a single order, got 6 flats & 4 drums. They were dry & not that meaty. We go to Elmo's everytime we visit Buffalo & those are some good wings! Also, Ken's Blue Cheese? Come on & get some Rootie's up in there or better yet make your own! You cannot mess with blue cheese. I'm talking the chunky blue cheese too, nothing better than digging a big meaty wing into a cup of some chunky blue cheese. Badd Pizza you need to up your blue cheese game. This was my biggest disappointment. My husband got the hot wings & said the sauce was on point & had "good heat." Chicken finger Sub: Chicken tenders were good (taste & size), toppings were mediocre, & the roll was good, but was it a Costanzo's? Those rolls would make the sub, just saying. Pepperoni Pizza- pepperonis are perfect! Charred & cupped with grease coming out of the sides. Lots of pepperoni too! Thicker crust would've been better & include the little white pizza stands in the middle of the pizza. I used them for my doll house as a kid!

Are you trying to bring Buffalo pizza to NOVA or are you just another chain? Buffalo puts some lovvvvvveeee into their food. It would be nice to have some memorabilia in the restaurant & please get on that blue cheese! ❤🤍💙...

Six months to a year ago, this place was outstanding. My family's favorite meal was the Triple Char pizza (with extra sauce) and the house salad with grilled chicken. This is a $50+ meal but as an occasional indulgence, it was worth it!

I'm not sure what changed but in the past several months the quality of the food has declined significantly and their QC on orders is terrible. The pizza has very little cheese now and hardly any sauce (despite us always requesting and paying for extra sauce). The house salad, as is stated on their menu, is supposed to come with two different dressings (Italian vinaigrette and blue cheese) and, as I mentioned, we always pay to add grilled chicken. 90% of the time in the past six months when we order take out, we get home to find out that we didn't get any salad dressing at all and there's no chicken on the salad. I'm not sure if the ownership changed or they've lost employees or what but this is not the same place it was several months ago!

We decided to try it again tonight for the first time in a couple of months. Very little sauce on the pizza, no dressing and no chicken on the salad. Thankfully, we thought to check the salad before walking out with the food. They took the salad back into the kitchen, added the chicken and the dressing and we left. When we got home, they gave us ranch dressing (and nothing else), the bottom 1/2 of the salad was all wilted and brown lettuce and the pizza barely had any sauce at all. This was the last time for us. It's a shame, really, because it used to...
