Updated review: ⭐️ deducted Review updated from 3 stars to 2 stars. Why? Cleanliness, missing ingredients and inability to take food to go.

Cleanliness: Arrived and no one was in the restaurant. It was dirty. Dirty floors, with visible dirt, crumbs and debris. Our table was fine but other tabletops were visibly dirty.

Ingredients: Wanted a staple pizza, pepperoni and there was no pep. 😶

We were also informed that the large pizzas could not be taken to go because they didn’t have boxes. All good- we still showed love, ordered two pizzas and drinks and it was delicious 🤤 for two pizzas and 7 drinks and $100 and being asked for a tip- even with the food being so tasty- I feel like the establishment is going downhill. Needs some TLC and attention to details.

Original review:: This was my 3rd visit to Benny’s. Based on other reviews, I have not had an issue during any of my visits with the pizza being undercooked, overcooked or lack of toppings.

One of my photos show a 28 inch pizza that was double cut. But if you look up a photo of the outstretched arm, that’s the regular size of a pizza slice. Safe to write, the hype regarding the size of the slices is real.

There really isn’t service other than taking your order and bringing it to your table. The staff seem to like each other and get along but that also looks and feels like they are bothered when you walk up to place an order.

Deducted a ⭐️ The prices are high for pizza.

Deducted a ⭐️ Not a fan of the new artwork on the walls, the “Barbieland” hand written decor or the impression that the workers are bothered when it’s time to place an order. Otherwise, the atmosphere is chill.

I recommend to friends and family to, “check out the place downtown with the big pizza slices.” Plus, we haven’t had a bite we...

If you're into mediocre millennial vibes that scream "what's up fellow kids", cruddy service, and undercooked pizza that gets you sick, then this is the place for you! The place is littered without outdated "meme" stickers that make you feel dumb eating there and odd paintings not to mention the trashy expletive music they played on the speakers. This is a restaurant not a 7-11. They don't even bother bringing the food to you or having you order from your table when you dine in, which would be fine IF they didn't also ask for a tip at checkout when you first order. What am I tipping you for? pressing some buttons on a screen and barely even looking at or speaking to me and then yelling my name across the room? The food is overpriced and they even charge 50 cent for a tiny cup of sauce. I suppose the price is for the novelty of a "big pizza slice" no bigger than the slices at Costco honestly but about triple the price and takes about 30 minutes compared to 5 minutes at Costco. There is a mediocre drink selection of overpriced cans, nothing on tap. I was thinking (for 30 minutes) before I got the food "well maybe it will at least be a good slice", but no, it was doughy in the middle and bland all around. Not the worst slice of pizza I've had, or at least I thought until I was sick for a day when I woke up the next morning. Do yourself a favor and skip this place if you're looking for a good slice and somewhere to enjoy a meal where you can feel like a serious person eating there. Honestly you're better off just picking up a pie from Little Casers for about the same price. At least you know what you're getting yourself into and they don't...

I work at the NN Marine terminal on occasion so me and the guys frequently went here because it's pretty much the closet spot to the port. Fwd to last weekend. The young lady behind the counter was RUDE with me for no reason at all not the one with the short hair close cut, the one that always wears the shorts that might as well be underwear and has her white pitbull laying inside the restaurant smh. I walk in and said "Good afternoon"....she replies "what's up". So I ask about a meat lovers type slice that I've had before from the location with bacon, pep, and sausage and I also get it from the Benny's In VA Beach where I live. Her response "I'm not that manager and we don't need to sell that type of slice because we sell more pizza than that location". I never asked her any of that but ok cool. Order a pep and sausage slice anyways. Even though her fingernails on BOTH hands were dirty and she wasn't even using gloves. It was ridiculous. Aside from that she greeted the white men after me with a smile and respect which I thought was extremely odd. After more observation she did it over and over ..when it was time for my slice....more rudeness and of course handed me my pizza with filthy hands. On top of that my pizza was not made with any type of care in the world. I paid for pep and sausage and this is what I got. I hope they either TRAIN her to be more professional and clean or get someone else who is. Needless to say me and my guys won't be going...

First of all the pizza is tasty. However, the pizza is VERY expensive. This pizza place sells by the slice ($5-6.50) and by the entire. pie ($32-44). When busy, they cook an entire cheese pizza partially, then they add toppings per slice, this isn’t an issue, but the when you order a whole pie and ask for slices to be different it is a disaster. A half-cheese pizza, and 4 slices with different toppings turns into a $55 pizza when their whole specialty pizza is only $44, and a whole cheese pizza is $32. I tried to understand from a manager/business owner’s perspective and thinking about the cost of toppings. that when half the pizza is cheese I don’t understand how a whole pizza could ever come to a cost more than $44. At this point it’s cheaper to literally purchase the whole pizza “by the slice”, that makes each slice over $6.50 a piece. I believe they charged me as if the side that wasn’t cheese had ALL 4 toppings on the entirety, which would make sense. It doesn’t help that the manager was rude and couldn’t comprehend the money/cost side of things, just was upset that I was questioning why it was so expensive. She stated that from here on out they won’t allow customers to get slices with different toppings on an entire pie anymore because it’s too confusing and too much of a hassle (even though they do this normally to sell by the slice).
