Usually I am not 1 to complain but my experience with this restaurant today was 1 to complain about. I work at Tindall Corporation which is about 5 minutes away from the restaurant and I take my hour lunch break..you would think within an hour you would get your food, eat it and be on your way right? WRONG! I arrived at appx 12:10pm, ordered a water with lemon, half grill chicken Cesar salad, and ONE slice of cheese pizza. About 10 mins later some of my fellow coworkers arrive and sit across the table from me and order subs and fries. So as I am waiting for my food patiently but watching the time because I have to be back to work on time here comes my coworkers food...BUT WHERE IS MINE? It is now 12:47pm so I get up and go to the register and asked about my food and how did everyone at the other table get their food before ME. Noone could give me a answer they just looked around for my food. By now im late, I had to get my food to go, and no one even bothered to even apologize for the inconvenience. I am not one to pull the race card but I find it STRANGE I'm the only African American customer at that time in the restaurant and didn't get my food. The kicker to all of this is I've worked at an Italian Restaurant in Emporia called Pinos for 4 years so I am very experience in the industry and know how it is suppose to be ran for lunch as well as dinner. I will not be returning to this restaurant because of poor customer service and I made sure my fellow coworkers was...
Read moreThis is the best pizza around. I have been eating there for over 30 years back before they were even at the current location. Their food is so good there is always a line and people come from miles around. They don't have the capacity to do much more between the dining room and pickups, they are so busy and if someone is too lazy to pickup their own dinner or too short tempered to give someone a chance to correct a mistake in a timely manner when they do offer that's their loss, but some of these negative reviews left when you have never been there or even tried the food does not really make any sense to me. Like I said I've eaten there for well over 30 years and maybe a couple times in all that time it wasn't quite as good as usual which honestly anyone can have a bad day but I have never had a really bad experience in the restaurant or gotten bad food. They have an excellent cheese steak sandwich. The handmade gelato is excellent also. I have to say it is one of the few places that the food is still as good as it ever was which is extremely rare today. The same family has owned this business since it opened and they have spent a lot of money keeping the restaurant looking nice with all kinds of tile work and nice interior decoration. The place is always pretty clean too. You can tell they take pride. I highly...
Read moreLove the food, but the counter staff was recently rude when we called in an order. We have ordered from there at least twice a month during this pandemic to support local business, and to feed a family of 5 costs...a minimal of $80 for individual meals...not including the tip. Food is always on point and everyone is happy. Until now... I alway order a cannoli as my special treat to myself. Always delicious etc. However, every time I order it with take out, after being told 30-35 min before our meal is ready for pick up, I end up waiting an extra 10-15 minutes because the cannoli isn’t ready. My Recent experience, on the contrary, was much worse.
The young lady at the front counter, when I inquired about my dessert being ready, stated it only takes a couple of seconds to make it. I then told her the last couple of times I’ve been by there it’s taken almost 15 minutes for me to get my cannoli, in turn, my food gets cold while I’ve waited. She then began to get an attitude with me and said it only takes a couple of seconds to grab it. I was disheartened by the way she acted, and this is not a representation of how brothers normally treats their customers. Needless to say it will be a while before I go back....
